But the only way a SS number works is if you get a paycheck. Then they draw out SS taxes & medicare/medicaid/FICA taxes because a person is working. A person doesn't get a SS no. as a child, sit around and do nothing for 50 years and then suddenly "get benefits." That's what's being described here.
