Ivy League graduates tore up their degrees after the university caved to the Trump administration's demands to hold anti-Israel protesters accountable

Columbia University students and graduates gathered over the weekend to protest the school's recent acquiescence to the Trump administration's demands to combat antisemitism at the school, and the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil, a pro-Palestinian ringleader on campus. 

During the protests, several graduate students from the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) shredded their own diplomas.

Not that they’re aware, but the diploma is useless and just for hanging on your wall. If you’re trying to get a job, the employer is going to ask for your transcript sealed by the school.

In your first job after school. After that, your job experience takes precedence over any education that aren't particular certifications.

This is performative theater. They can rip up their paper copies all they want. You can get a digital copy and print another, ask the admissions office for another copy or use the digital copy. On top of that I can ASSURE you none of these people will leave the fact they graduated from Colombia off their resumes. Just a bunch of liberals being babies.
