Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which would require proof of citizenship in order to register to vote.

You are ok without proof of citizenship to vote?

I am, for two reasons:

1. There’s no evidence of voter fraud in this country. It’s not an issue, never been. So this is unnecessary.
2. It depresses voting from poorer people and minorities. Which is, I believe, the whole point.

Voting fraud has happened in the past.  It was far worse before we took action to better secure how we vote. So the act of protecting elections has worked, and should be sustained and improved to ensure protections.

If you are suggesting that the protections are working and as a result we seem to have fewer minority voters, then I think we need to really look at that. It would appear, based on what you posted, that the protecting of our voting system means less fraud due to fewer minorities voting, I would like to better understand how fraud and minority voting move together.

I think it could be true that Booker, being a decpicably POS and typical liberal, can see that Schumer is ripe for the take down.... and HE wants the power.

This simply isn’t true. Here are the facts:

Yes technically it’s happened; but it was extremely rare and the actions you’re referring to had no effect whatsoever except to suppress legitimate voting.

The Brennan center.  As in John Brennan. Go away.

It was weird. The MSM literally said he "ignited the base" by just standing there telling everyone he hates trump. It reminded me of the placeholders they held up.  How did this ignite the base? How is this looked at as resistance. It was not even a filibuster. It was just him talking. He is CLEARLY making a play to be the face of the democratic party but is that good for them?

It is true. And if you are interested I would encourage reading Deliver the Vote: A History of Election Fraud, an American Political Tradition-1742-2004 by Tracy Campbell. It details how fraud has evolved and improved over time.

So it CAN happen, and we SHOULD always be securing our elections. Now, back to your point that fraud has diminished in step with lower minority voting, I would like to learn more about that.

He’s fighting the good fight. The main point, which nobody here seems willing to acknowledge, is that everything he is saying is not only right but also agreed to by the majority of the public: Trump has been an absolute disaster so far. He is causing needless pain across the country with DOGE and the tariffs. People are tired of it. They’re sick of the bullsh!t. Nobody voted for this; they voted for Trump to bring down inflation and that’s not happening. So good for Corey for fighting back; we need more like him.

Oh fawking K. Where do I fawking begin? With this nonsensical stoopidity? First things first. In her twenty five hour Tampon Tim biotch fit via an Aunt Flo moment, he said zero, fawking ZERO about inflation, the border, taxes, law enforcement, and the fact that Bell Div Devo are and will be performing at your local funeral home on Sunday.

Just 1 of the rants Booker was going off on.  He thinks its shameful to be a citizen to vote in America.

Thats his prerogative.

People were whining he’s doing a speech to talk about issues he cares about, meanwhile those dipshits in the House are taking the week off because they can’t do anything.

What if he used some of that energy to accomplish something for US citizens?

Democrats never learned that part of politics.

Isn’t this his job - to speak to people on issues?

Meanwhile lower chamber just bails on the week because they are incompetent.
