What do you mean “just remembered”?  Did he ever say he wasn’t?  The guy has pretty much said nothing.   I don’t know if the claims are true, but we do know Bukele moved him to a different prison so Occam’s Razor would tell us (and @jerryskids and @Strike in particular who love using Occam’s razor) that something may have happened in CECOT that led to that change.

He and a few others do that all the time, try to deflect from the news that is reported by focusing on who reported it (which doesn't change the actual news).

Krassenstein is just the messenger here relating what Garcia said in the amended lawsuit. He didn't change or add anything and his only commentary being "There may be more" 

I could have found another dozen tweets reporting this and they all would have said the same thing, but somehow it is not credible only because of the source.

I have no idea what happened.  He was pulled over and released, no charges.  But now years later, after he's mistakenly sent to a Salvadorian prision, now we want to prosecute him?  That doesn't sound strange to you?
