But I have worked for some very large multinational corporations in my day. Which makes me infinitely more familiar with big business and what works to increase productivity and what doesn't than somebody who spends his days in a classroom. But you don't have to have worked for multinational corporations to understand that incentives do more to increase productivity than does an hourly wage with no performance standards. That's just common sense. It's a very pollyanna view you have. Incentives have a shelf life if anything. This will be like every other idea- less people to do more work. That never succeeds.
