SaintsInDome2006 440 Posted May 28 Quote President Donald Trump has commuted the sentence of Larry Hoover, the infamous former gang leader from Chicago, according to a White House official. Hoover, the co-founder of Chicago gang Gangster Disciples, has been serving multiple life sentences since the 1970s. The man is open for business.

Tebok 442 Posted May 28 https://www.thedailybeast.com/trumps-dismantling-of-task-force-kleptocapture-helped-russian-billionaires-hide-their-cash/ Quote President Donald Trump’s dismantling of Task Force KleptoCapture, an anti–corruption initiative set up in 2022 to seize the assets of Russian oligarchs, has set off a “dizzying” shift in “dirty money coming into the United States,” a source told the New York Times. In addition to shutting down the task force, the Trump administration has also ordered the Justice Department to end the enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, banning businesses from paying bribes. Quote Barack Obama's books, Dreams from My Father and A Promised Land, have been very successful. Dreams from My Father sold over 1.3 million copies in the first six months of publication. A Promised Land broke records, selling over 887,000 copies in its first day in North America and breaking the record for first-week sales of a presidential memoir. It broke the sales record set by his wife Michelle Obama's book, "Becoming", which had sold 725,000 in its first day. A Promised Land sold 1.7 million copies in North America within its first week. The initial 3.4 million copy run was increased to 4.3 million due to high demand. Quote Michelle Obama's memoir, "Becoming," has sold an estimated 14 million copies worldwide, including 8 million in the US and Canada. She has also written two other books, including "American Grown" with Lyric Winik. "The Light We Carry," a collection of essays, was released in 2022. SaintsInDome2006 440 Posted May 29 Quote Qatar is insisting that a memorandum of understanding between Washington and Doha specify that the aircraft’s transfer was initiated by the Trump administration and that Qatar is not responsible for any future transfers of the plane’s ownership, these people said. ... Trump’s determination to complete the deal has been apparent to his aides since he toured the aircraft on Feb. 15 at the Palm Beach International Airport and admired its interior, officials said. “They’re giving it to me,” Trump remarked to those around him. Trump “loved it,” when he saw the aircraft in person, finding it far more updated, modern and spacious than the existing planes used for Air Force One, and appreciating that there were “more work stations” available on the new jet for him and his aides to use, a second White House official said. Wapo: Qatar says Trump initiated the Qatari plane gift & wants it in writing.

Actually no they won't because criminal investigations use informants and undercover agents all the time. They bought night vision goggles, a taser, explosives, they built IED's, they cased the vacation property, openly discussed the actual word "kidnap," they planned to blow up a bridge behind them, and they built a safe house (basically a shed in the woods) to hold Whitmer in. jerryskids 6,746 Posted June 6 Wife and I are watching Succession these days; I'd say it's good, not great. We're in season 2, I'm hoping to see Shiv's bewbs one day. Anyway, I know Logan Roy is a Rupert Murdoch inspiration (and the president on the show, the "raisin," is Trump), but I see some similarities between Logan and Trump as well. He's mostly coherent with bouts of incoherence. Grift is a part of daily business. But mostly, people on his staff are nominally running major portions of the business, but they wilt like dead flowers in the presence of Logan's gravitas. I feel that way with Trump -- is there truly nobody in his inner circle who can pimp slap him? Heck, I think that's the second time in a week I've asked that question. You already know the answer, you just don't want to admit it. Not only is there nobody to keep him from indulging his worst instincts, but multiple layers of oversight have also been dismantled, and it's all that way by design. ETA: you will not be treated to any gratuitous visuals of Shiv, but the show is absolutely worth finishing. She is one of the sexiest actresses out there... and she's Aussie, I think.
