I’m sure the admin would have loved to charge him.  So I think no charges is evidence they may not have had much of a case.

So ICE doesn’t need a warrant to disappear someone?  That certainly seems like a slippery slope if so.

And if they didn’t need one, why did one of the guys hold up a crumpled piece of paper and claim he had one? Was anyone able to determine if they did actually have one?

That is what Trump, ICE and the MAGA folks here are saying, just grab them and throw them in a foreign prison without any charges brought against them or any compliance with due process under the Constitution

Thanks.  So an “administrative warrant” is just something that ICE creates on its own.  Seems like a checks and balances issue.

I did find this excerpt from the link interesting:

“The warrant serves as documentation of ICE's authority to take a person into custody for immigration proceedings like removal or deportation“

Wasn’t the guy the comptroller was locking arms with, literally just leaving an immigration proceeding that was still under appeal?

Congress gave Ice the authority to make administrative apprehensions and deportations when Clinton was president. Also, there were court proceedings when Biden was ramping up deportations all the way back last summer and fall?

Yup, plus the head of the agency has stated publicly why his agents wear masks.  Suggesting individual agents have to as well is the same as Tim yesterday suggesting it's acceptable for libs to form a 10 mile line and make ICE show their warrant to anyone who wants to see it.  It's idiotic and, quite honestly, just talking points bullsh*t.

Wearing the masks absolutely contributes to the fear and uncertainty felt by those that are potential ICE targets. Unfortunately, in todays completely fuct up political environment, it's done for the safety of the agents. It's a necessary evil if we're serious about supporting and protecting them.
