I actually understand this sentiment. I felt the same under Biden. But the timeline has details and timestamps that would be ridiculously easy to disprove that I don’t think they would be able to fabricate. If I had more time or desire I could likely find the same information from a different source.

Watched an interview with a camp counselor, young girl who had been to this camp for 11 years as a camper or counselor and then a guy who was camping with his family and one of his daughters is missing. 

This was both riveting and very hard to watch. Awful stuff but both were so composed and thoughtful in their answers. Such an awful tragedy.

It changes nothing.  The warnings were on time.  There is debate at what local authorities weren't willing to spend on warning systems.  Who knows if that would have even made a difference.  It's an uncomfortable topic but there is always a cost/benefit to life risking situations or perils we face daily, or rarely in this case.  To take an extreme example, we could save a lot of lives if we just eliminated driving.  I don't think anyone here would argue that would be the right thing, yet a lot of people die every day in their vehicles.  People choose to live in hurricane prone areas, flood prone areas, near fault lines.  None of these are 100% safe and the best of warning systems can't totally protect everyone.  Those truths shouldn't be political.

The more telling thing is that we know now for the next 3 years, every incident of a natural disaster where there is loss of life or air disaster, that the media and left is going to drum this stuff up whether it's factually supported or not.  The next one that happens, we will be right back here.

I don’t know if ten more meteorologists would change anything. But I would rather have them. I said that at the time and I’m repeating it now. On issues of public safety I would prefer to go overboard. I don’t understand the desire by conservatives to cut these programs.
