Not sure if you listen to KFAN, but yesterday Barreiro had a former US Attorney on his show talking about this (can't remember his name). Basically the assumption is that the DFL were too scared of being called racists to investigate. The Feeding Our Future group that was at the heart of a lot of the fraud actually filed some lawsuits at one point that essentially argued that any investigations into them were racist in intent.

This is one of many reasons I'm not a Democrat despite leaning left. If you're trying to enforce policy or law, you will be called a racist. That's not a reason for failing to do the right things.

I've managed people for a long time. One absolute truism I've encountered: If you have black subordinates (other minorities also, but to a far lesser extent IME), you will inevitably be called a racist at some point. It happened to me THIS WEEK. Do your work with integrity and transparency and those allegations are meaningless. DFL cowards.
