I am in SW Minneapolis, so at least 35 blocks south and 25 blocks West.  This incident is way on the other side of 35W, even farther north than George Floyd Square.   Its not a particularly "nice" area to say the least.  I've had to take my kids to Childrens MN Hospital up by there.  They tell you to not walk around outside after dark.

My bad. I'm well aware of that neighborhood, having lived pretty close 30 years ago. It wasn't particularly safe then, either.

She was turning the car and looking like she was about to leave. She only sped up when the one officer tries to open the door. To say that she was "aiming" her car at the officer is not supported. It looked like she was trying to flee, which, while probably a crime, doesn't exactly justify execution on the spot.

The city put out a statement and said the presence of ICE brings chaos and makes the comminity less safe.  That's how they respond when someone tries to kill federal law enforcement officers.
