Today, ICE officers in Minneapolis were conducting targeted operations when rioters began blocking ICE officers and one of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them—an act of domestic terrorism.

An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots.

He used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers.

The alleged perpetrator was hit and is deceased. The ICE officers who were hurt are expected to make full recoveries.
 
This is the direct consequence of constant attacks and demonization of our officers by sanctuary politicians who fuel and encourage rampant assaults on our law enforcement who are facing 1,300% increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats. 

This is an evolving situation, and we will give the public more information as soon as it becomes available.

Well that one pretty definitively shows that the cop wasn't "in front" of the car.

And since when does her fleeing the scene justify shooting her? She was sitting in the road TALKING to the GD ICE agents, FFS.

It really depends on the angle...sometimes it appears the front of the car already passed him when he started shooting.  But that last angle looks like the agent is getting pushed by the car.  I don't think opening fire was necessary or worth it but they'll probably be successful in justifying it because contact was being made.  Everything about it sucks.

Each side is going to see what they want and the city is going to burn again regardless.  There's nothing good about what's going on here.

Good link to the youtube video taken by a reporter. The ICE agents were in no danger. This was murder. You can even hear the woman in the car say "certainly" when asked to move.

Did I see enough to grant the LEO the technical right to self defense with deadly force, yeah, probably.  Did I see good and responsible policing, no I did not.  They did not take their time, assume correct defensive positions actually placing themselves (himself) in a danger zone, and did not consider that they may have created a dangerous, uncontrolled projectile in that vehicle in a residential neighborhood.  

 

Some deployed stop sticks.  Calmly removing her from the vehicle, not scaring some stupid Karen into wanting to flee on snowy streets with much traffic.  These things could have been tried.  The problem is both sides of the political spectrum get out there and they want matters enflamed rather than deescalated.  Both sides contribute to these incidents.

She chose to block traffic. She chose to not bay orders and get out of the car and ran. He had to invade her vehicle and in reasonable person would view their life in danger from that vehicle lurching forward at them and shot her clearly through the front window. I mean for God sake’s. The bullet hole is as round as it could get. That’s not happening from a side shot.
