I am no fan of Bowser.  But I have to give her credit, she is handling this rather well.

She is shunning the "oppose Trump on everything at every turn and at all costs" gambit the rest of the Democrats seem dialed in to.....she is being cooperative.  And I think that is brilliant.

She wins on this.  She gets a bunch of help from the Federal government to crack down on crime, and can still pretend that she is reducing crime anyway...even though in reality that is actually a lie.   So crime gets reduced, she does not have to pay for the extra help....and when it works she is seen as not opposing the improvement in the lives of people, but instead being part of the solution.   Moreover.....sh!t....she can claim that if she had more money, she could fight crime better....and Trump helping proves it.....so now congress is in a corner to fund her more, and Trump cant oppose it....he made it true!!!
