Te, double digit rounds I got Bowers in 2 money leagues. He ended up getting on 4 of my 5 money league teams; due to other owners dropping him. Not his best season; but that one huge game was definitely a nice one!
crackills 25 Posted 7 hours ago We are looking at overall production (including injuries) result.. Anyone who drafted Bowers in the 2nd is hurting. It was also at a cost of a wr1 or a RB1. If you took Kittle in the 4th.. sure its not optimal but your other options were RB3/wr4s so not a huge loss. PLus when he is on the field he scores like TE1. Bowers had one big game.. and now seems to share the field with 2 other good TEs. I picked up Ertz and Kraft off of waivers.. Ertz had decent production overall way above his ADP and Kraft was killing it before he got knocked out for the year. While it sucked to lose him, it wasnt a big deal because he was free.. and i found another TE (J JOhnson) who produces.

In addition to that, in the other 3 games that he played, he was playing injured. If you're starting an injured player, regardless of position, you should expect lower production. The fact that he got you almost double digit points is still "acceptable". Is it desired? No, but I'd rather have a guy getting about 10 points in games he's injured than playing TE roulette on the waiver wire hoping to find a guy who would do that. Injuries happen all the time. Any player you draft, at their position, can get hurt and yield returns that aren't ideal. I'm never going to sit here and say that people should draft TE's before round 7 or 8, regardless of who the TE is, because if they do get hurt, you've really put yourself behind the 8-ball. That said, if you take one and get production that is "acceptable", then all is well. The person who drafted Tucker Kraft, I'm sure isn't too happy about his TE position, regardless of where he drafted him. Outside of that person being the one who drafted Bowers, McBride, or Kittle early, I don't envision any of them having another TE on their roster when Kraft got hurt and now they're juggling FA/WW TE's every week. Point being as mentioned above, guys get hurt. It doesn't matter when you draft them. The difference is that you can easily find a TE in rd 8+ that has similar production to Bowers (if bowers is not lights out every game liek this year) you're not finding a rb1 or wr1 after the 8th rd.. (not counting backups for injured players)

The team who had him, was always in playoffs... for a team who traded for him.

Finally dropped him this season as last year i drafted bowers… drafted Warren. (Kept brown, Bucky, jj, bowers) Kelce has brought me a lot of success when ive been able to get him
