Definitely pointing out my age based on the thread title, but you know what I mean.

If you are cut off from all music and you only had one album to listen to what would it be?

Definitely a hard decision but I'd probably go with "Fear of a Blank Planet" by Porcupine Tree.

How about the rest of you?

Edit: no Greatest Hits compilations. :nono:

Runner up would probably be Dream Theater "Metropolis Pt 2: Scenes From A Memory"

Perhaps Riverside "Wasteland" or "ID.Entity"

Difficult decision for sure.

I'm guessing @cmh6476will pick a Taylor Swift album.

OK since you couldn’t nail down one here is my thoughts.
My first thought was Piece of Mind - not sure if your avatar gave me subliminal suggestion. Then to be true to myself my all time favorite album is Layla and other assorted love songs. Then a concept album jumped into my head - not Dream Theater but Operation Mindcrime.

For @posty that is:

Iron Maiden

Derek and the Dominos

Queensryche

Very tough choice for just one album. My thought is a double album. Quadrophenia and Exile on Main St offer variety but I’m going with London Calling - The Clash.

Almost impossible to pick just one.

“I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One” by Yo La Tengo might be it. Best indie rock album of the 90s IMO and has a great mix of noisy rock and slower moments.

This would be the hardest exercise ever, for me.   I have 3,533 tracks in my ytube Playlist and if I have any Swift songs it's only one or two.   I don't like all the music in my shuffle, but I definitely wouldn't want to be tied to just one album :(

Very hard choice so gotta go with an album that I can listen to back to back forever. There are a few of those, with honorable mentions to Blizzard of Oz and Back in Black, but my choice is Hard Promises by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

Wouldn't it be 8-track?  ;)
