So he wasn’t hired at this school district until 2023, after he pled guilty to the gun charge and they said they did a third party background check on him.

I think people ( @HellToupee as an example) are jumping to false conclusions based on things that were not said.  ICE did not say he overstayed a student VISA, they just said that’s when he first entered (which seems to be wrong anyway, looks like he first came as a child to likely illegal parents).  I’d bet he was legal, but the gun charge caused the deportation proceedings, even though it probably also showed up on the background check.

The reason he could have still passed the background check is the circumstances of the gun charge.  He was cited by someone from the gaming commission, and paid a total fine of less than $200.  His public story at the time (and I’m not saying I automatically believe him) is that he had a license and that he wasn’t cited until after the game warden approached him while coming back to his car, and he says he put his hunting rifle in his car so that he could talk to the game warden.  That one seems like a nothingburger to me (as evidenced by the $200 fine, not even his story).  Although of course the recent allegations are not.

Also for the folks that love noting when someone is “dEtAiNeD, nOt ArReStEd,” Roberts was neither detained nor arrested for the prior gun charge.

I’d also bet in the recent instance he was likely carrying the loaded gun on him, but left it if he did run.  Again, I know running is not a good indication of innocence.

I’m not defending him at all in this thread, simply stating that I think a lot of people carry loaded guns & hunting knives in Iowa.  In the other thread I just said I wouldn’t call this guy “the worst of the worst”

Nope, not at all 🤣

Quote where Trump said what the ratio would be?   I mean, are you really THIS retarded?  I knew you were retarded, but I didn't think you were THIS retarded.

Bump for @TimHauck.  Guess his 10 hours of searching didn't yield any quote where Trump specified how many run of the mill illegals versus bad hombres he'd be deporting.

Yes, now I’m defending him (edit: at least his actions prior to yesterday) after reading more from primary sources.  I wasn’t previously.

Trump did say this 2 months ago though:

“We're doing the worst of the worst, always the first

https://www.democrats.senate.gov/newsroom/trump-transcripts/transcript-press-gaggle-donald-trump-speaks-to-reporters-after-air-force-one-arrival_-july-1-2025

While he doesn’t say it specifically, I’d argue the obvious implication there is that there is going to be more focus on the worst of the worst than “run of the mill illegals.”  Data shows there is not.

Of course they'll go after criminals first.  Just like any law enforcement operation those are the most dangerous.  They're also usually a smaller percentage of the whole.  Using the fact that the sheer numbers are more run of the mill illegals to suggest that means they're not focusing on the criminals is lazy at best and biased hackery at worst.

  • Thanks 1

Right, so every time you suggest he isnt going after the worst of the worst you're lying.

The only source I'm seeing giving out the additional information you're saying you read from "primary sources" is the DMPS, who might be biased.  Link to your "primary sources?". Or is there a reason you haven't already provided it?

Why is the % of non-criminals increasing exponentially?

Michelle Obama’s chief of staff was on the board that hired Roberts. She is Jackie  Norris, a DEI true believer that has a business , the horizon group that has a financial interest in putting people like Roberts in positions  Also the firm the led the search for the position has scrubbed it from their site.

In Robert’s book published in 2021

"Radical Empathy," Roberts claimed he was a member of a Guyanese military unit in the early 1990s. Actually, a death squad with a dark reputation for extrajudicial killings

The last sentence of the 2nd page. "My history of being a trained assassin is important..."

Yep.  Discretion kicked in.  No use in providing facts for you.  It’s not worth the time.

I like facts, please share.  Most of the GC doesn’t like facts though.  @HellToupee as one example who has posted multiple lies in this thread alone, including that Roberts was previously arrested.  He wasn’t.

ICE getting this guy might be the most important illegal arrest this year. It shows how deep the problem is.

He has experience leading schools in a number of  cities, including Washington D.C., Baltimore, and St. Louis.

This was a nationwide search.  A company was hired to bring forth candidates.

There is more to this than a single district.

So it seems ICE may be claiming there is an additional gun charge from 2020, in addition to the one I referenced above which is technically from 2021. If that turns out to be true I will admit I was wrong.

Supposedly the “existing weapons possession charges” were from Feb 2020.  He didn’t start at the PA district until August 2020 according to his LinkedIn.

So he got hired by 2 different districts with existing charges out there?  Occam’s razor finds that unlikely

There needs to be an additional reckoning. The DOE should require all public school employees to provide proof of citizenship.

George Soros must have pulled this together pretty quickly (I am not commenting about whether the protest is justified or not)

Dude's doctorate is from an online university.  I'd love to read his dissertation.

How did they hire this dude?

“Before working in Iowa, Dr. Ian Andre Roberts was superintendent of Millcreek Township School District in Pennsylvania.

That district paid $403,000 to settle sex discrimination claims that occurred under his "leadership."

FWIW; looks like most of this was dudes who sued because they wanted jobs that women got instead.

This guy found it, but only posted part of it.

He did seem to have a lot of experience though.  I feel like the main actual red flag is the lawsuits.  He was definitely a DEI guy, but I don’t think that proves he was a “criminal illegal alien.”   The school board has now stated they thought he was a citizen.

He seemed to have a good reputation particularly in Iowa, but it’s certainly possible he was a fraudster.   This thread has some more information I hadn’t seen elsewhere.  Interestingly he appears to have been married to an American - so I’d be surprised if he didn’t apply for citizenship through that.
