That song is not only 50 years old; it’s 50 years long.

The song is 49 years old. The sinking of the ship, was 50 years ago

They rang the bell an extra time (30) last year for Gordon.

He is the single greatest thing to ever come out of Canada.

You can make a post for 11/27/1980. That will make the 45rh anniversary of bostlonlager/BiffTannen entering this world.

Weird, I was reading this thread and the commercial during the LSU/Bama game said that it is also the 50 year anniversary of Miller Lite beer.  Coincidence?  🤔

Gordon is awesome and love him. That song and If You Could Read My Mind and Sundown are amazing! If I ever get a funeral for me I want If You Can Read My Mind played. Carefree Highway is cool too!

Agree with all of this.  Love Gordon, and If You Could Read My Mind is one of my favorite songs ever.  Whenever I hear it, I think of how they don't write lyrics like this anymore (now get off my lawn!  :D ).

Carefree Highway was inspired by a sign on that road here in the Phoenix area.  It's not really about the road according to the internet, but I'll take a little love for my hometown.
