Great news!

Even though there's been one in my town for years, I've never tried them. The vast majority of people I talk to who have, say it's very expensive. True ?

We have one an heard the hype on here for years! So overrated food wise period, been there 8 years ago and haven't been back since.

Yeah the couple times I've eaten there I haven't been overly impressed.  It's not bad but not great and overpriced IMO.

I'm so over the fries in the bag thing. Oh and the Burgers taste like a flame broiled Whopper and I'd sooner get a Whopper.

I like the food there. Just stopped going for the most part because it always made me feel a little sick afterwards. I can't recall the prices but just looked it up. $12 for a cheeseburger and  $6 for regular sized fries.

That is pricey and go get a cheeseburger at Chili's or Applebees and way better than theirs.

Applebee's has the 2 for $25 menu. We get a couple salads (which are actually good), a side of onion rings and the burgers on special and it's awesome. Onions rings added cost but who cares, they are awesome. Just one thing we learned the hard way, They switch up the burgers on special every now and then and the sauces they put on them suck, so no sauce. We probably go there once a month, it's awesome.

Remember Fudruckers? Not sure they are still around. Kind of a easy going place to buy some beers and burgers with friends. They would spread out all the burgers add ons in a salad bar type way and have hot cheese for the fries and stuff.

Only the name. Never ate there, but at one time there was 4 or 5 of them in my state. According to AI, none of them are still open.

personally, I want to like them but often the burgers are under seasoned and sloppy, and the fries too salty.. and for the price, I’d rather get one from a local Gastropub.

When I eat there, there are ok… but if I take them home they are soggy

Only had them once there and guess the bag sucks up a lot of grease.

I really like their burgers. I found the fries to be too salty.

yes 5 guys is expensive but it is probably my favorite burger from a chain place and not being stingy on the fries is nice

Actually had it about a week wgo.  First time in a while.  Good burger. Fries fine.  I think it was like $17 or so all in for that.  Kinda pricey but was pretty good.

Do recommend you try them once.  If the price point is too high, well you at least tried it

A large bacon classic combo at Wendy’s is $12-$13. You’re getting a drink but not nearly as many fries  

I have not had 5 guys in a while but now I’m craving it 

first time I ever had it I thought their fries were tasteless. Come to think of it i believe the last few times i did have it i got seasoned fries Cajun maybe?

Yea I thought they was overrated and the burgers as well.  Why it's been 8 years plus but to each and their own and we all have different taste buds.

Pretty good for a fast food type burger.  They have the peanuts there too which I usually have a few of.  The problem is you are right about the cost, for just a couple more bucks you can have a better burger at a better restaurant.
