It’s not new.

”Whataboutism Hunter Biden though”. That’s one pardon. Every one of Trump’s pardons are bribes, and there are 1500 of them this term. Including major drug dealers. But he has Hegseth directing our military to bomb small passenger boats.

It’s impressive that MAGA is stubborn enough to keep defending Trump. But it’s also cult follower behavior at this point.

There’s like 1000 or so families benefiting from this, maybe 2000. You aren’t one of them. Wake up.

Son of one of the very fine people pardoned by Trump committed more violent crimes.

https://www.wsmv.com/2025/12/22/son-chrisley-knows-best-stars-arrested-again-rutherford-county/

Domestic abuser and assaulted a police officer too. Just the kind of man Trump loves.

This is what MAGA supporters voted for.

Biden let in 10 million illegals. You seriously want to start counting the horrific acts of murder and violence and drug smuggling and rape they committed?

MAGA voted to pardon someone whose son did something?  What does this have to do with the pardon?

You've got TDS bad.  :(

Maybe you should talk to @jerryskids - it seems like he forgot that Republicans decided family members are fair game.

After years of MAGA screaming about the Biden Crime Family, he’s mad that I made one post about the Chrisley crime family.

Hunter made a mistake on a gun purchase form and was late in paying his taxes. This guy was a domestic abuser and attacked a cop. Which one is MAGA mad at? Which kind of crime do they really care about?

I do agree with you here, not sure how what a 35 year old adult child did is relevant to his dad receiving a pardon.

Although of course the original pardon of Chrisley is another example of rich Trump supporters being pardoned.  And worth noting that the original indictment came during Trump in 2019.

Hunter threw his gun into a garbage can outside a store. Real nice. Late? Holy shitt. Poor Hunter. If he was just late he could have just paid his taxes  and interest.  Nobody gets criminally charged for being “late”. You file an extension.  You’re an Imbecile.

This pardon bothers me less than when Trump pardoned a Honduran drug lord. Or when he pardoned that guy who laundered money for terrorists and child pornographers and went into business with him.

Sorry, still stupid.  Even Moderate Tim is not supporting you.

You want innocent until proven guilty. Those are the two things he was found guilty of. I don't understand what's funny about it.

Wait, liberals all of a sudden care about domestic violence? What about Maryland dad? It’s ok to go visit him and have some margaritas I guess.

Isn’t that better than a weed smoking president, who supported Epstein and the sexual abuse of children.

Crazy thing is as bad as Hunter Biden was/is, he was pardoned for tax evasion. He’s nothing compared to an international drug trafficker, a Chinese spy, sec trafficker, ponzi scheme operators, violent criminals.

And Trump pardoned Hunter’s own business partner! LOL.

Here’s what else is awful - when Trump pardons these people who committed fraud & bilked money & life savings from people he eliminates the victims’ right to recover fines & payments back to them. It’s sad really.

He can only pardon people for federal crimes, not civil action. You just say stuff.

Criminal prosecution includes restitution for victims.

What about Hunter Biden’s partner, Devin Archer? He partook in all of Burisma & HB’s freewheeling excesses. Trump pardoned him.

The underlying theme here is that there are two groups of criminals that are exempt from consequence in the Don's world:

His supporters and white collar criminals. Both provide him with something he values, criminality be damned.

Crap, I forgot traffickers and rapists that share his love of young women and hand him a steady supply of them. They aren't criminals either.

In case you haven’t see this, & it should be a free link.

Inside the New Fast Track to a Presidential Pardon ~~ Lobbyists close to Trump say their going rate to advocate for a pardon is $1 million

>>

Administration officials and lobbyists describe two playbooks that have emerged. There is the official track, which involves pardon czar Alice Johnson, Justice Department pardon attorney Ed Martin and the White House Counsel’s Office. Applicants usually go through one of the three, and ultimately White House counsel Dave Warrington reviews the application and makes a recommendation to Trump. The two men meet every few weeks to discuss pardons, administration officials said.

The second track is riskier but can be much faster. If an applicant can find Trump at Mar-a-Lago or a White House event and ask for a pardon directly, Trump is often inclined to be helpful, administration officials said—particularly if someone says the magic words: “unjust persecution.”<<

Restitution can still be made. That occurs in a civil court. What do you do or did for a living? It certainly had nothing to do with the law.

Let’s say that’s true. The DOJ already has a conviction & a judicial order to pay back victims.

But… you’re arguing now the victims can just individually sue, prove their case all over again, taking as long as that might take with unpredictable results. Ok.

And sorry @Hardcore troubadourdid you address the Trump pardoning of Hunter Biden’s business  partner? Archer is the one who arranged the Burisma board appointment, introduced Hunter to Zlochevsky, & he partook of all of the profits.

OJ was found not guilty. How on earth did he have to pay? Let’s not “say” it’s true. It is true. What do you do again for a living?

Thats a situation of a guy found not guilty of murder in a state court. We’re talking about people convicted of fraud in federal court.

So which would be better for the plaintiffs? A pardon or a not guilty verdict? A pardon is either because you’re guilty, or it at least implies it.

Th best of all is a guilty verdict in federal court. In every situation that is the result Trump is overriding.

Oh, I see. Archer did everything Hunter is accused of, he’s let off the hook even though he’s forced to testify, & Hunter is never prosecuted for any of it. He also testified so maybe Trump also let him off the hook.

The pardon eliminates the restitution to the victims ordered by the court as part of the sentencing.

Trump's pardons have shortchanged fraud victims of millions of dollars in restitution

>>

"Typically, the Department of Justice does not recommend a pardon in cases in which the candidate owes a significant amount of restitution ... so these pardons that wipe out large financial obligations are very unusual in their effect," former U.S. pardon attorney Liz Oyer, who is not involved in the case, told ABC News.

By Oyer's count, the recipients of Trump's second-term clemency cumulatively owed more than $1 billion in restitution -- money intended for the victims of fraudulent schemes. Instead, according to Oyer, "victims are just out all of the money that they expected to be repaid as part of restitution, due to the pardons."<<

@Hardcore troubadour — FYI.
