They can have almost anything delivered to their house. People become millionaires working from home providing no tangible benefit to society. It has never been easier to get rich. Even the middle class live better than many monarchs of the past. The times we are living in are fascinating. So much is happening. There is a massive shift happening all over the world. In the past not much would change technologically for centuries. Now we have more advancements in 20 years than would have happened in a thousand.

But I’m probably just an old guy shaking my fist at clouds.

I never see much crazy where I live, and it's probably like that in the vast majority of the country. If I focus on how messed up everything is, that is what I will notice more of. If I focus on how the world is growing in positive ways, I will notice more of the good.

But like I said, I’m an old dude now.

But like I said, I’m an old dude now. I think we have to. I believe it will turn around for the better. That is why I embrace spirituality. Not religion. Religion is dogmatic and filled with errors. It serves a purpose and provides a solid place for people to explore the divine, but this "My religion is 100% right with zero flaws and all other religions are garbage" doesn't make any logical sense. When it comes to spirituality in general, the people who explore it honestly without connection to any specific faith allow for different interpretations. That's the spirituality I find appealing, and it will lead to a positive evolution of society. I spend quite a bit of time poking around it, and there are way more people who are spiritual now vs tied to one religion. The barrier between a lot of people and spirituality is that they are lacking a mystical encounter with the divine. Something unexplainable. I had mine, which changed my entire view of reality. I leave room for those who haven't and are skeptical, because I was there myself not that long ago.

I find with money comes less stress and relaxation not necessarily tangible things.

I find with money comes less stress and relaxation not necessarily tangible things. A while ago I read about a study of the relationship between $ and happiness. Short version is people were happier if they were comfortable than if they were poor, but happiness leveled off right after financial comfort (paying your bills and essentials) and very rich people didn’t report being any more happy than middle / upper middle class. Personally, I think spouse / family, community, self-actualization, a sense of purpose etc. are all more important than $ or just having stuff.
