Meh.  Defense companies have been ripping off the taxpayers forever.  There should be certain expectations when receiving a fat government contract.

Exactly. They obviously aren't outputting fast enough. Weird that they wouldn't be more urgent about arming our military with what is going on.

Here's a difference between a liberal and a Trump supporter. We are for what benefits the US the most. If this means we get better equipment for our military, especially right as tensions are rising, why would we be against it.

Liberals live by weird arbitrary rules that their overlords make up on a whim. We are flexible so long as it makes sense for the betterment of our country.

Trump is making the world a better place one day at a time.

A socialist would say this, seriously. The “common good”.

Well, if you can say a company that gets a government contract has to go to a minority or a woman, why can’t you do this?

So wanting the US to be better off is socialist now? Wow. You have a severe case of something affecting your brain that is not good. Seek medical attention.

Are you against this move?

I believe Exec compensation is too high relative to lower level employees, however I don't believe the govt should have the authority to tell private corporations how much they can pay their employees.

As a work from home I imagine so.

Not legally. Almost everything Trump does seeks to avoid Congress.

You need to seriously stop whining constantly. It's terrible for your psyche. You are training yourself to complain about everything. You really should stop, especially when it's something that you know you agree with.

Why not, this sounds like something that the government should do. Maybe go back to the ratio we had back in mid 80's between exec pay and lower level pay.

This won't happen, but the idea is not bad.

You bet.  I am also old enough to remember $10,000 toilet lids billed to taxpayers.  I hate scammers regardless of color.

Government contracts are ripe with over charging for the benefit of a few at the top. Who is paying these contractors? Our government. Which means we are paying for it. This isn't a totally private affair. Not the same. You're welcome.

I agree that the ratio was better, but again, I don't believe the govt should have that power.  That's too socialist for me.  There are other ways.

I like it in theory. Whether Trump actually does it or can get it through Congress is a whole otter story.

They can pay what they want and not invest in capital improvements.  They just won’t get government contracts. Trump wants lean, hungry, and innovative contractors.

Of course Congress will stop it.  Defense contractors are heavy donors.  That’s how the machine works

Republicans control Congress and the committees to advance legislation.
