phan a tic 6 Posted January 17, 2017 Her name is Elizabeth and she recently died at age 91. She first became terminally ill at around age 83. Family was told she had about 6 months to live. E was a devout christian from an early age. After she got really sick, she started preparing for the eventuality of 'going to heaven'. Only problem was most family and friends had been telling her for years that religion was just a connived tool for having people be 'good' to each other. Realizing that she would soon find out made her somewhat unnerved. All her life she assumed that a wonderful 'heaven' awaited her upon death. But she began debating with herself about WHAT lay beyond life on Earth. And every time she was rushed off to the Hospital, we all expected her time had ended. Each time she fooled the doctors and clung to life. She finally told my mother that she was unsure of 'heaven' and didn't want to die. That happened 5 times or more during the subsequent years. The day she passed, she told her youngest daughter that given the opportunity to live her life again, she'd bypass the religion aspect. Then, just before her passing , she was mumbling a prayer.
