Showboat 145 Posted December 12, 2017 I'm really tempted to start Ben instead - he actually would have been the better play the last few weeks. Is this the beginning of the end for NE or do BB and Brady put it together to stomp on the Steelers in their own house?
joeshushu 51 Posted December 12, 2017 The way Cutler cut up the Patriots I would be tempted to play Ben over Brady. Of course Flakeo cut up the Stealers too. Its a coin toss I guess. Bens at home where he plays well.

polecatt 403 Posted December 12, 2017 I would probably start Ben over Brady but who knows? Either could have a huge game. Brady has been down for a couple of games and is coming off a bad loss. Those signs point to a big game.
stonewall 647 Posted December 12, 2017 Is anyone benching Brady in week 15? Yes...the same folks who benched Wilson last week.
DaBeerz 88 Posted December 13, 2017 Ben and Antonio connection is red hot right now. Steelers at home in a game to force #1 seed in the AFC. I'd go with Ben.
seafoam1 1,879 Posted December 13, 2017 I think Brady is hurt or something. He had an achilles issue a few weeks back. No way he turned into Denver's Peyton Manning overnight. Kurt Warner was even saying that there is just something not right about him. Brady looked like Eli Manning yesterday for God's sake..
scottsind 61 Posted December 13, 2017 I think the Patriots try to run all over the Steelers and control the clock. I would play Big Ben over Brady, biased though as I am starting Big Ben this week. Big B and AB have carried my team for about a month now.

weepaws 2,460 Posted December 13, 2017 Isn't the Gronk due back this weekend. I like Brady. Isn't this a big game?m Yeah I will take Brady.
himmystyles 29 Posted December 13, 2017 Brady is angry. He is going against an offense just as high powered if not more than his. It's gonna be a shootout and the GOAT doesn't want Ben outshining him. I'm not benching him.

This is an interesting point, because the last two games Brady has clearly looked less mobile than his normally not very mobile self.

DaBeerz 88 Posted December 14, 2017 brady is near the end of his career. just look in his eyes. Yeah but he's still playing at an elite level. He leads the league in completions, yards, 3rd for TDs, and other than Alex Smith who also played every game has the fewest INT in the league for starting QBs. What's your point? DaBeerz 88 Posted December 14, 2017 I think he is hurt. Oh sorry I missed your earlier post where you mentioned that. If Brady is hurt aren't the pats required to disclose that or be subject to huge fines?
seafoam1 1,879 Posted December 14, 2017 Oh sorry I missed your earlier post where you mentioned that. If Brady is hurt aren't the pats required to disclose that or be subject to huge fines? Not sure how all that works honestly, but 2 things: 1) It's the Pats 2) He looked beyond bad in his last game. He was missing passes really bad. Could it be his planting leg? I just don't know. When a superbowl winning QB in Kurt Warner says during the game radio broadcast that he doesn't even understand how bad he looks, then I don't know. That being said, it's hard to bet against Brady and Belichek. You have to go with your gut or at least check his practices this week.
stonewall 647 Posted December 14, 2017 Sure, he could be horrible when you need him most.....for whatever reason. Anything is possible. However, it is always unwise to bet against Brady, particularly following 2 bad games, including an embarrassment on nat'l TV on Monday night. His WR's are healthy and Gronk is back, playing a high-octane offense in an important divisional game with playoff seeding/home field implications What are the odds he drops 3 stinkers in a row? Would you bet against him?

Brady historically has been exceptional in games against the Steelers. 10-2 against them with a 115.1 QB rating. That's actually pretty ridiculous when you think about it. I'm no Brady fan trust me, but the guy is clutch as when the game is on the line. This game will determine #1 seed in the AFC. Brady will be his usual self for this one. Coaching as been the biggest diffrence in the matchups.

Agreed, I gotta admit Belichick has consistently outcoached Tomlin in these crucial games. Steelers always also seem to underperform against the Pats.
