TennisMenace 156 Posted December 19, 2017 Well, this is interesting. I got zero points with my Chargers this past week. Can I trust them against the Jets and I hear they lost two guys on defense. Plus, on the road. If not them, who else do you guys like?

SpenceToons 70 Posted December 19, 2017 The Jets ran a tighter ship in wk15, surrendering only 6 points although Petty threw 2 interceptions. So that makes me lean a little more towards starting BAL instead of LAC, who's not been scoring so well on defense lately. I see some interesting choices on the wire like CHI vs CLE as mentioned by ramz04, CAR vs TB, WAS vs DEN (2nd in points surrendered) and perhaps PHI vs OAK (although OAK is only 20th in points-surrendered). Yes....there does seem to be a plethora of options. I notice you left off Patriots v. Bills. You obviously don’t think Buffalo will make turnovers, which they usually don’t with their conservative game plan.
AintNoStoppinMeNow 68 Posted December 19, 2017 Did I miss something? Rodgers not playing..... Packers are officially out of the playoffs after Atlanta's win last night. The Packers activated the third string QB and have not committed to playing Rodgers this week. Rodger's collarbone is not yet fully healed (reported to be about 80%) and they're up against the same ferocious defense that put him on the shelf. While it's not official, there are signs pointing to the Packers shutting Rodgers down. The Jets ran a tighter ship in wk15, surrendering only 6 points although Petty threw 2 interceptions. I too have the same LAC and BAL decision this week. I thought for sure when McCown went on IR that I would start LAC if I made it to the championship game. Now I'm not so sure. They took a beating on Saturday night and lost a few players. Not to mention they have to travel across the country for this week and the Jets have played hard all season. Furthermore, Baltimore (other than the Pitt game) has shown no reason for anyone to not play them in the finals. I think I'm going to stick with the Ravens.
Phil Simms 11 127 Posted December 19, 2017 Opponent has Chicago already, sux to be me. I have Jax, however, SF is rejuvenated a bit. Still rolling them but KC looks interesting as well.
DaBeerz 88 Posted December 19, 2017 Did I miss something? Rodgers not playing..... GB is eliminated and Rodgers is playing hurt. There is no sensible reason to play him in a meaningless game.
DaBeerz 88 Posted December 19, 2017 I could use some help on this actually. Right now I have the Cardinals and the Titans DST. On the WW (I have priority because I'm in the finals) there are: Browns @Chi Jets v. LAC Redskins @ Den Giants @ ARI Just looking at matchups, anything worth streaming there, or just go with one of the DST I already have?
thePRO 78 Posted December 19, 2017 Tell me about it. I felt so good about the Eagles. Not sure after they got destroyed by the Rams and Eli threw 400 yards on them....wtf.... Rams @ Tenn (Not sure how Rams are available but they are; Tennessee is up and down) Wash vs. Den Giants @ Ari Patriots vs. Bills Chargers are a weird team. Jets can hit the big play....maybe not with Petty. Who knows? I feel like sticking with Philly.
rotisserieking 34 Posted December 19, 2017 I've got PHI but picked up NE vs BUF. Toying with dropping PHI and grabbing PIT but not sure.
Brutal Brutus 182 Posted December 19, 2017 I have Baltimore, Chargers and the Rams, and I'm starting Baltimore without hesitation. I only consider the other two when Baltimore has a bad match up. It's like having an extra RB1 in my lineup.

stonewall 647 Posted December 19, 2017 How excellent though? I have the Cardinals. Are the deadskins a better option? Tough call. But if you look at the Skins overall performance this year, they have usually been pretty decent, esp against inferior offenses. Denver has been known to give up good points to opposing defenses, and may well trot Lynch out there this weekend.

Even though our league is practically an entire timezone away from Foxboro, we have a Pats homer who has held the NE DEF from wire-to-wire.

With BAL able to pry points loose from a CLE who had just tightened up a little vs LAC & GB,...and all that coming without Jimmy Smith, I'm highly likely to be starting the Ravens as well. Mullog 12 Posted December 19, 2017 How excellent though? I have the Cardinals. Are the deadskins a better option? Those are my two DSTs: AZ and WASH. We carry 2 through the year and I've been streaming the entire season and our rosters freeze for the playoffs. This is what I'm left with so... Washington v Denver Arizona v my beloved NYG Both are at home facing an opponent that will fly across the country. Both are facing opponents with bad offenses that are ironically coming off of good performances. I'm leaning towards AZ because I don't think the Gmen will be as motivated to play the Cards as they were for the Eagles. It's also possible the Skins blank the Broncos who regress to the norm. I believe I'm left with a coin flip.

I think NY got up for their arch rival Eagles, but like you said, traveling across country for a team they couldn’t care less upon, letdown.
TennisMenace 156 Posted December 19, 2017 I can't decide between the Chargers and Chicago. Pats are available also. If I had da Bears, I’d probably take them. Chargers lost two starters and looked horrible Saturday. I can’t imagine they will play inspired this coming week. Jets usually play well at home late in season. thePRO 78 Posted December 19, 2017 Something to look for if you have the Philly defense. Philadelphia can clinch HFA if the Vikings lose. Therefore they'd probably rest some starters against the Raiders on MNF. I would sit Philly defense in that case.

Jets usually play well at home late in season. Well, the Chargers are still in the playoff hunt, so I don't know what more they need to inspire them than their whole season being on the line. Chicago, on the other hand, is in last place and with no shot at the playoffs, so would seem to have far less incentive to play inspired.

Believe Pittsburgh will win with a final drive against NE #3. Trust the Chargers when they have pressure or expectations.

Raiders will probably be eliminated by MNF too. Anyone think the Eagles will go back to being a great play on MNF? Oakland traveling to Philly. Eagles still fighting for HFA. Defense was embarrassed by the Giants..

I think that let the air out of the balloon. I’m not even sure the Great HAYWARD is playing, and if he is, he is probably limited. Heck, Robby might blow right by him. ramz04 21 Posted December 20, 2017 Am I the only one that likes the Vikes this weekend? Considering starting them over the Bears. Had Teddy not thrown that pick deep in their own territory, they would have pitched a shutout. I realize that's nothing to write home about vs the Cinci offense but they looked damn good. I think they're a top 3 play this weekend vs Hundley.

TennisMenace 156 Posted December 20, 2017 Yes, the Vikes defense just improved with Hundley now the qb. What does everyone think about the Steelers on the road against a bad qb? Or the KC Chiefs v. Miami at Home? Not much being said about these two teams. So many options out there this week.

All you Chargers fans like me do realize they will be without a starting DL guy and a starting MLB, yes? That is two pretty important people. And a few others are hurting but may play...Hayward being one of them. I don’t know....flying to cold NY just seems like a letdown. I have a bad feeling about this so I’m looking.....
