edjr 5,564 Posted January 29, 2015 Patweisers and I had discussed this a few months back. Where do you feel would be the ideal location? I'm guessing October of 2015 would be the ideal time? ideas? thoughts? I am sure people would be interested from all corners of the USA, so hard to pin point the perfect spot. Plan on flying if you're interested

edjr 5,564 Posted January 29, 2015 I thought we already had one of these? Well, yes. I guess we did. That was local. This one needs to be global, for everyone. a reason to leave the family for a couple/few days
KSB2424 3,083 Posted January 29, 2015 I would propose the following parameters: 1. The courses must be nice, doesn't have to be freakin' Pebble Beach but nobody wants to travel to play golf at a goat track. 2. With number one stated, I think it should be reasonably priced to ensure maximum opportunity.

KSB2424 3,083 Posted January 29, 2015 I'm in. Vegas? New Orleans? To many people will miss their morning tee times. Not sure those two spots are good ideas. I'm not saying it wouldn't be fun, but I might be a bit askeered to be in Vegas with BunnyBastards. Shit will be going down.

Honestly. Florida or South Carolina seem best I can't wait until I have this conversation with my wife. I'm not saying it wouldn't be fun, but I might be a bit askeered to be in Vegas with BunnyBastards. Shit will be going down. Morning rounds? New Orleans would be perfect. The golf is pretty good at the nicer courses. $75 to $100 a round. We'd play the TPC New Orleans and The Grand Bear in Gulfport ,MS. They have casinos in New Orleans and Mississippi. Great food and spirits. Free hookers.
Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted January 29, 2015 when else works? next February? after stooper bowl? Don't go by me, but I have football from August until November. I have the Patriots games, but it is more the team that I coach than the one that I watch.

KSB2424 3,083 Posted January 29, 2015 Las Vegas New Orleans Hilton Head Myrtle Beach Boston area? Texas? Florida? The Greenbriar (West Virgnia) - Don't laugh, I heard its awesome and reasonably priced for what you get. It's a resort with PGA level golf and a Casino. Bert 1,091 Posted January 29, 2015 The first geek golf outing and tailgate happened in I believe 2002. Bert, Rusty Syrings, TaylorRoseFan and Farmer Bernie were in attendance. I would be interested.

Very easy to get to. I don't understand people under fifty who tee of before 8:00. The hookers aren't really free. I just said that to peak interest. I'm sure of you get comps from the casinos. jerryskids 5,206 Posted January 30, 2015 I wentirely with a group of 24 to Myrtle, it was awesome. We did a Ryder Cup format with 5 rounds in 3 days. It was a blast but exhausting with the partying included. That being said I doubt I could head back that far. New Orleans is a good central location.

It was a blast but exhausting with the partying included. That being said I doubt I could head back that far. New Orleans is a good central location. I did Hilton Head once. Great courses but was bored with the night life. And it was expensive. A couple of thoughts about New Orleans: you don't want to play here between June and August if you can't take the heat. The humidity is brutal if you're not used to it. I play in those months only because I love the game. Best months to play are March and April in the spring. If we time it right, we could play Thursfay to Saturday and play the three nicer courses that I could get a group discount for. Hit the quarter at night. Hit some bars and restaurants I know that will accommodate us well. And then hit Jazz Fest on Sunday. Can't think of a better place to be at that timethan here for golf, fun, and rock out with your cack out fun. Only drawback would be rooms. They get a little pricier but if we shared rooms or a few suites, it wouldn't be that much more. There are other great reasons but I need to make stool right now so I'll have to pause. BunnysBastatrds 1,916 Posted January 30, 2015 All better. Crawfish season is in full swing. Last month for good oysters. Just like golf here, you don't eat/play oysters/golf in months without an R unless you truly love it. The casino is one of the better ones that I've ever been to. There's only one downtown. And they cater to those who like casinos. Great time will be had by all. If we don't, I'll lose my New Orleans card, Geek Card, or marriage card depending. Losing my marriage card is the right outcome.
dain11279 928 Posted January 30, 2015 BB, you ever play Black Bear in Delhi? It's probably like 4 hours from N'awlins. I played it 3 times about 3 years ago. #1 public course in Louisiana, absolutely awesome
