Video: Draft Buddy Getting Started Crash Course

10 August 2016 - 10:50 AM

Props to customer Jason who inspired me to create a new getting started demo for Draft Buddy. He emailed me late last night asking for the crash course. Looking through our video library I noticed the old demo video was getting pretty old. So, this morning I created a new one.

This is the basics to get you going from setup to start your draft. It is no work of art but hopefully gets you the information you need.

Video: FF talk w/ Draft Buddy mixed in

08 August 2016 - 08:48 AM

Yep, this one is more of an opinion piece showing my decision making process in a recent draft ... the decision to wait at QB while drafting on the end of a 12-team draft (9th round). I am using Draft Buddy to help me decide.

The video is a tad on the long side but for a first attempt at one like this I think it came off okay. Whether you guys agree with the analysis and decisions in the end, well, I'm sure you will let me know :)

Video: Inputting Trades, Keepers Cost a Draft Pick

03 August 2016 - 07:51 AM

Video to demonstrate how to input a trade in Draft Buddy involving draft picks and players. This is for a keeper league where kept players cost a draft pick, but even if you are curious about inputting trades in any league this will provide some guidance. All trades are input on the draft report tab. There are also some useful points about keeper leagues.

Video: Mac Office 365 - Compile Cheatsheets

28 July 2016 - 10:36 AM

Hooray for Microsoft. They "improved" Excel once again on us. Draft Buddy does work in the latest version of Excel for Mac - part of the Office 365 suite - but one thing in particular that happens is the cheatsheets do not compile properly if you do it immediately after updating projections. The solution? Hit Compile Cheatsheets again. Here is a video showing me using Draft Buddy on Mac Office 365:

Video: Copying League Rules and Scoring

Save some typing, copy league settings and scoring from last year.

It has come to my attention very recently this may not work in the Office 365 version for Mac. If anyone else has any trouble with this feature then please reply and tell me Excel version and operating system. Thanks!
