Then the rest of your post is complaining that other people who you think did something worse are going to get off easier. Classic GC whataboutism. I’m sure there have been instances that crossed the line into antisemitism and support for Hamas. It would be interesting to talk about the difference between that and general shows for support for Gaza/Palestinians, if the GC wasn’t full of hysterics and bad faith actors who can’t tell the difference.

There’s nothing stopping anyone from doxxing and publicly shaming college kids who are chanting “from the river to the sea.” Lots of videos out there already. The thing is, no honest person thinks criticism of Israel is inherently antisemitic, so unless those kids are chanting “death to Jews” no one is going to give a chit On the other hand, what this kid did was unambiguously racist and indefensible. I wouldn’t want his life to be ruined over what might have been his worst moment. But I won’t shed a tear if he loses a few opportunities because of it. Might be a good life lesson for the young lad. Is this really the behavior you want to go to bat for? Making chimp noises at a black person because you disagree with their politics?
