You make funny talk, SAM. You like long or short grain sticky rice? You born in year of the monkey? -
I live close to the single retail location that sells the most guns in the USA (The Cabela's at Alliance, TX now rebranded as a Bass Pro Shop after their purchase. . At least they did the last time I checked. Anyway I also look at guns I have an interest in. In the past I thought the pistols and quite a few shotguns were reasonably priced. Now they seem to have gone way up. I dropped of my 1968 Remington 1100 12ga for an adjustment with a gunsmith he told me that pistols don't hold a lot of value and I could find some good guns at a reasonable price. I have not found them so far. I don't have a hunting lease or anybody to go with so the 1100 could be a trade-in. I was thinking of a snub-nosed .357 wheel gun. I had a Ruger 101 .357 with a 6" barrel in stainless and it was too much gun for me with a full house load. The recoil cut thru my new shooting glove and cut my hand in two shots. If I get another .357, I will be shooting range loads or 38+P. The reason I don't just get a 38 Special pistol is that I was advised that the lighter weight ones have a lot of kick, and a heavier .357would stay closer to on target between shots. I have never owned a semi-auto pistol, and don't want to start now. The gun I get will not be carried, just kept at close hand in my home. So have gun prices gone way up recently? Are used gun prices high or low? I get it if I get teased for being a mouse gunner. If I did buy a semi-auto in would be a 9mm. BTW, I speak with the guy that runs the Gu=n Library there. He dated a Colt Six Shooter I had as a 1893 44/40 black power piece. That is the Colt single action Army that coined the name six-shooter. It was stamped right on the barrel. Also, he told me they have a gun inventory there that is not open to the public. Guns starting around $30,000 for the extremely wealthy. Lots of Middle Eastern clients.

Who is Bad Bunny? SB Half Time Show Performer 2026
BiPolarBear replied to TheNewGirl's topic in The Geek Club
Totally understand. They tell me that Neal Pert was an incredible drummer. I have never heard him because he played in the same band as Geddy Lee. I could not stand his screeching voice. I know some excellent musicians that just eat Ruch up. I would sooner pull weeds than hear them. Maybe he will do something you like better, as you make a drink. -

You guys aren't musicians are you? He's good. I reviewed Kanye West first LP when OldMaid said he was legit. Not the kind of music I usually listen to, but I gave it an impartial listen. It was exactly the opposite of what all the troll conjured. He was very intricate and judicious of the use on instruments on the tracts. Instead of opening with an acoustic guitar and strumming for the intercity of the song like most everyone would do, he had short burst of acoustic that made the point and disappeared until it was needed again. Same with the other instruments. As I said, I don't delve into the genre and am just guessing he may no be so coherent now. Bad Bunny has game. Is your dream SB half time Lee Greenwood and Kid Rock wanking about? Lol. Give it a rest. -

Anyone else gone through a parent losing the end of life

I took care of my mom and dad for 10 months, and another 4 years of just my mom after dad past at 93. Mom was 97. Dad was over prescribed a water pill. It put him in the ICU for low sodium. When he came out of the ICU, he lost his Electrical Engineer intellect and it was very sad. When Bell Helicopter would get behind in designing the Huey, he would bring the electrical drawings home and work on them. It is a tad complex, and the drawings were the size of the Huey (flat), 1"=1". He also was one of two engineers that traveled with the helmet. They had to have a set of eyes on it at all times to insure it would not be stolen. The pilot wore it while in the Apache gun ship. This was the helmet that aimed the Gatling gun and fired when the pilot closed one eye. Mom did well for a longtime. She ate Quaker Instant oats for years and I think that is what got her. She had a metastasized mass in her colon. It had Glyphosate in it and a lot of gut cancer got blamed on it. She was ready to go and asked a couple of doctors to do her in (of coarse they did not). It was a little tuff to hear that since I had dedicated myself to keeping her alive. Quaker had promised to get rid of the chemical by 2025. I don't know if they did. I threw out a case of it when she pasted. -
I saw an interview with a doctor that studies near death experiences. The only people who see "the" lake of fire are christians. Easy escape is not to be one. Some of you know I pasted in 2019. If there is any judgement on the other side, I did not experience it. I got my choice to stay or come back.

“We’re not against all vaccines, just the Covid ones”
BiPolarBear replied to TimHauck's topic in The Geek Club
I follow science and don't care what Biden or Trump have to say about vaccines. I believe Dr. Fauci, was the most peered reviewed Doctor. If he passes the scrutiny of people that actually understand medicine I am good with it. Everyone else's opinions and stories about what he did wrong don't mean shiot to me. I got covid twice after having the vaccine and, it was no big deal, other that having to have my groceries delivered. -

One Degree of Separation between me & Jerry Jones

It went to the skull at my right temple and down my neck. Doctor called me and said it got into my lymph and nervous system. This was a day after surgery and that is all they knew. Knowing that the lymph and nervous system goes pretty much everywhere, I figured I was done. This had a very calming effect on me, as soon as I got off the phone for some reason. Turned out it was confined to my right head and neck. -
