I'm your huckleberry. Your $8T added to the debt is a middle-school level analysis. Here are the debts in recent years: 2008 $10,025 68% Bank bailout and QE 2009 $11,910 82% Bailout cost $250B ARRA added $242B 2010 $13,562 90% ARRA added $400B, payroll tax holiday ended, Obama Tax cuts, ACA, Simpson-Bowles 2011 $14,790 95% Debt crisis, recession and tax cuts reduced revenue 2012 $16,066 99% Fiscal cliff 2013 $16,738 99% Sequester, government shutdown 2014 $17,824 101% QE ended, debt ceiling crisis 2015 $18,151 100% Oil prices fell 2016 $19,573 105% Brexit 2017 $20,245 104% Congress raised the debt ceiling 2018 $21,516 105% Trump tax cuts 2019 $22,719 107% Trade wars 2020 $27,748 129% COVID-19 and 2020 recession 2021 $29,617 124% COVID-19 and American Rescue Plan Act 2022 $30,824 123% Inflation Reduction Act and student loan forgiveness https://www.thebalancemoney.com/national-debt-by-year-compared-to-gdp-and-major-events-3306287 You'll note a few things. One, Saint Barack doubled the debt in his 8 divisive years. More importantly, note that Trump kept a slow increase of ~ $1T per year for the first 3 years, then upped it $5T in 2020 because of Covid. Instead of reverting back to pre-Covid growth, Biden keeps growing off of that one-time emergency, spending like a drunken sailor for stuff like the Inflation Increase Act and the American More Free Stuff plan. The past two years should have been ~$5T less, so based on "normal" (already too high) growth, Biden has increased debt about $10T in his 2 years. I know this nuance is lost on you, but facts not feelz, boyo.

Asians aren’t being held back to increase diversity because they are the diversity. In fact, schools make it harder for Asians because they outpace whites, not because they outpace blacks. But sadly, they use terms that make it seem like Asians are being discriminated against to increase black admission when in fact it’s to keep white schools white. When you base student admission purely on merit, white schools would become increasingly brown. This is a way to keep Asians from out competing whites, not to help poor dumb black kids.

I do love how the cult has failed at EVERY SINGLE ATTEMPT to prove voter fraud in court. And now they're so far down the stupid rabbit hole that they're suggesting that the courts are biased and rigged? It's astounding how Trump has turned once reasonable, yet low educated, people into such cult slaves to his moronic ideas. Simply crazy.

Anyone see the Tim Robbins interview with Russell Brand? I haven't seen it but read a few excerpts. It's not noteworthy specifically due to it's content, as his viewpoint mirrors how mine changed throughout the pandemic, but what is noteworthy is the independent and critical thinking skills he exhibits as a die hard lib. You don't see that much, and never around here. The "centrists" are set in their ways around here.

As you can see, Putin must nuke. The more Putin threatens to nuke and does NOT nuke, the more aggressive NATO gets. They cut off Russia from the global community. They fund Ukraine. They arm Ukraine. They train Ukraine. They support a counterattack. They support Ukraine in bombing parts of Russia. They supply Ukraine with Patriot missile systems. NATO is playing an insane madmans game where they keep testing the limits of what a nuclear-armed nation will put up with. Its just a matter of time before Russia nukes. There is no other outcome. Its surprising Russia hasn't nuked yet. But it will come.

It's the cooked bones, when they are cooked they turn brittle and splinter and can get lodged in the dogs digestive tract. We give our dog raw bones, but not cooked.

Just got done cooking two bone in ribeyes for the dogs. Gave them each their own steak. Took a raw tuna steak and sliced that into small, thin pieces for the cats cause they LOVE the tuna when we get sushi. Catahoula ate his entire steak, bone included. Red lab is carrying her bone around like a trophy showing it off. Wife is at work so it’s just us at the house. Got some more alcoholic eggnog and flipping it back & forth between the Bucks/Celtics and the Bucs/Cardinals. Hope you fellas are enjoying your night as much as I am Merry Christmas fellas from my family to you

LOL digby was trying to lecture us peasants on “ACTUAL SCIENCE” a couple weeks ago, and now he’s quoting VAERS data as meaningful. Almost no one knew what VAERS was before 2021, not to mention there aren’t many vaccines women of child-bearing age (even if not pregnant) would usually take, and there is little oversight on who files reports, so comparisons like this are ridiculously misleading. This is like Peter McCullough saying 470k people have died from the vaccine based on pre-covid VAERS reporting rates. There was actually a recent study I saw that found no link to miscarriages, I’ll try to find the link.

again, this is why they WILL nuke us. This is a religious war. the end of the human race is a PREFERABLE option to losing this war and allowing the russian people to welcome homosexuality, mutilation of their kids, and pedophilia. nuclear deterrents do NOT work here. hell, i think AMERICANS from 150 years ago might nuke modern America. https://www.yahoo.com/news/war-ukraine-metaphysical-battle-against-221058908.html War in Ukraine is a 'metaphysical' battle against a civilization built on 'gay parades,' Russian Orthodox leader says Grayson Quay, Weekend editor Mon, March 7, 2022, 2:10 PM Patriarch Kirill, the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church, delivered a sermon Sunday in which he referred to the war in Ukraine as a "metaphysical" struggle against a godless international order. He argued that war broke out after eight years of "attempts to destroy what exists in the Donbas," because the pro-Russian separatist republics embodied "a fundamental rejection of the so-called values that are offered today by those who claim world power." Kirill did not mention that a majority of Ukrainians are also Orthodox. This world order, Kirill said, offers "excess consumption" and "visible 'freedom'" to any nation that proves its loyalty by "hold[ing] a gay parade." Kyiv hosts an annual gay pride parade. In 2015, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed into law a ban on gay "propaganda," a term that included pride parades and exposing minors to information about homosexuality. Gay sex remains decriminalized in Russia. Putin frequently accuses the West of "denying moral principles and all traditional identities" while portraying Russia as the guardian of "the Christian values that constitute the basis of Western civilization." Only around six percent of Russians attend church regularly. Russia also has the highest abortion rate in the world. Kirill, a strong supporter of Putin, urged his flock on Sunday not to "put up with … those who promote sin" — specifically homosexuality — "as an example or as one of the models of human behavior." He also said Orthodox Christians who oppose the war are "humbly follow[ing] the path that the powers that be show them." Kirill delivered this sermon on Forgiveness Sunday, a day on which Orthodox Christians prepare for the penitential season of Lent and ask forgiveness of one another.

lol. another personal attack. 010101011100001010 I'm just asking if the liberals here can stop doing those things. stop personal attacks and stop guilt trips. it is literally impossible for them. so their posts are useless. and its not somethng special here to these forums. liberals do it all over the internet. its really funny when a new one shows up here and goes immediately deranged, doing nothing but those 2 things. and they think no-ones eer seen a liberal do it before. 00101000101

many young people hate the history of the US and want to destroy it. So they elect weak stupid corrupt leaders. That leads to an inability to handle adults on the international stage like Putin. They may get the US destroyed, just not how they thought it was going to go. If they hate a peaceful republic, they are gonna really hate some dictator telling them what to do.

Some info here is about UK warning system, so unless you are in the UK, disregard that. https://www.the-sun.com/news/211684/world-war-3-ww3-nuclear-attack-how-to-prepare-apocalypse/ Experts recommend you follow the guidelines below to protect yourself, your family and your home - if you believe an attack is imminent. Build an Emergency Supply Kit, which includes items like non-perishable food, water, a battery-powered or hand-crank radio, extra flashlights and batteries. You may want to prepare a kit for your workplace and a portable kit to keep in your car in case you are told to evacuate. Make a Family Emergency Plan. Your family may not be together when disaster strikes, so it is important to know how you will contact one another, how you will get back together and what you will do in case of an emergency. Find out from officials if any public buildings in your community have been designated as fallout shelters. If none have been designated, make your own list of potential shelters. These places would include basements or the windowless central area of middle floors in high-rise buildings. What should you have in your survival kit? It's suggested you go out and buy as many of these items as quickly as possible: Water filters Canned goods (stews, fruit, tuna, meats, etc) Ready-to-eat foods (granola, cheese, protein bars, etc) Medical kits Peanut butter What to do after a nuclear blast? Although Ukrainian protocol is unclear, it was previously reported that the UK Government was working on a new alert system to prepare Brits for the horror of a nuclear war. Back in the dark days of the Cold War, the British government developed a “four-minute warning” system to alert the public that the country had come under attack. The warning system, which was in place from 1953-1992, used air raid sirens, TV bulletins and radio broadcasts to spread the terrifying news but, thankfully, it was never used. In 2003, the National Attack Warning System (NAWS) was developed, allowing the government to warn the population by phone, radio and TV if we ever come under attack. Nowadays nuclear bomb alert text messages and social media are the preferred method. Decay rates of the radioactive fallout are the same for any size nuclear device. However, the amount of fallout will vary based on the size of the device and its proximity to the ground. Therefore, it might be necessary for those in the areas with highest radiation levels to shelter for up to a month. The heaviest fallout would be limited to the area at or downwind from the explosion and 80 per cent of the fallout would occur during the first 24 hours. People in most of the areas that would be affected could be allowed to come out of shelter within a few days and, if necessary, evacuate to unaffected areas. Keep listening to the radio and television for news about what to do, where to go and places to avoid. Stay away from damaged areas. Stay away from areas marked "radiation hazard" or "HAZMAT". Remember that radiation cannot be seen, smelled or otherwise detected by human senses. Assorted drink mixes, if you have children with you Multi-vitamins Iodine solution, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, painkillers Dried milk Largest bags of rice, beans, flour, oats, sugar and honey Gallons of cooking oil Baking powder & baking soda & spice assortment pack A manual can opener Kitchen matches and disposable lighters Sanitary napkins and diapers, if needed Flashlights (ideally LED) and portable radios, if you don't already have them Plenty more batteries, at least three sets, for each of the above Bottled water (especially if home supplies not secured yet) Baby wipes Bleach Fire extinguisher Paper or plastic plates/cups/utensils Cheap plastic hooded rain ponchos What to do during a nuclear blast? The following are guidelines for what to do in the event of a nuclear explosion. Listen for official information via online, radio or TV and follow the instructions provided by emergency response personnel. If an attack warning is issued, take cover as quickly as you can, below ground if possible, and stay there until instructed to do otherwise. Find the nearest building, preferably built of brick or concrete, and go inside to avoid any radioactive material outside. If better shelter, such as a multi-storey building or basement can be reached within a few minutes, go there immediately. Go as far below ground as possible or in the centre of a tall building. The goal is to put as many walls and as much concrete, brick and soil between you and the radioactive material outside. Expect to stay inside for at least 24 hours unless told otherwise by authorities. What to do if you are caught outside during a nuclear blast? Do not look at the flash or fireball - it can blind you. Take cover behind anything that might offer protection. Lie flat on the ground and cover your head. If the explosion is some distance away, it could take 30 seconds or more for the blast wave to hit. Take shelter as soon as you can, even if you are many miles from ground zero where the attack occurred - radioactive fallout can be carried by the winds for hundreds of miles. If you were outside during or after the blast, get clean as soon as possible, to remove radioactive material that may have settled on your body. Remove your clothing to keep radioactive material from spreading. Removing the outer layer of clothing can remove up to 90% of radioactive material. If practical, place your contaminated clothing in a plastic bag and seal or tie the bag. When possible, take a shower with lots of soap and water to help remove radioactive contamination. Do not scrub or scratch the skin. Wash your hair with shampoo or soap and water. Do not use conditioner in your hair because it will bind radioactive material to your hair, keeping it from rinsing out easily.
