Broke my hand (metacarpal, boxers fracture), my wrist, roller skating and then about 1992 was the big one, where outside a bar I tried to lift 2 girls off the ground, and twisted my ankle, later found out I broke my fibula, and years later, I had herniated a disk in my lower back.
So, I've really got no choice. I have to stay at a minimum level of health, or I can't get out of bed. And it's degenrative, so the more I ignore it, the worse it will get. Been years since I had full bennys. I have no health care at all right now. Need dental work, mostly. Healthy as an ox. As long as I'm carefull with my back, and when it hurts I take it easy, I'm fine. I usually hafta lift something wrong to hurt it. No more jumps on my hardtail Fisher. A herniated disk is a permanent injury, sans surgery, and I don't need surgery. Just gotta be carefull. My old physical therapist said I had the tightest hamstrings she ever saw, I'm not very flexible, I hafta stretch. Quick sprint type, jokes aside. I'm too tense. My lower back is hard as a rock, all the time. Fat, thin or muscular.
I really gotta quit smoking too. Afraid I'll gain weight.
