🚨 BREAKING: US Army bans transgender people from enlisting
The Real timschochet replied to League Champion's topic in The Geek Club
It’s YOU who don’t understand, Trans soldiers have served this country with honor and distinction going back to the Civil War: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/retropolis/wp/2017/07/26/a-history-lesson-for-trump-transgender-soldiers-served-in-the-civil-war/ You guys are just ignorant. You know nothing about our history. All you’re capable of is hatred. -

Neither would I. That’s why I would ban all anti-trans bigots. You guys have a paranoid fear that isn’t healthy and suggests some sort of mental deficiency. -

Right? You would think that you would stop doing all those things by now if you don't like them, but here you are everyday emitting them like a beacon. Maybe you should stop pushing your trans flat Earth pseudo-science on other people. Nobody believes that it's not a mental illness, much less a "vast majority" of scientists. -

But we were told that a VAST, VAST amount of "scientists" all supported the trans flat earth movement. How can that be a lie? -

Your trans flat earth science is not, in fact, science. -

All of you guys calling me stupid for believing the scientists is pretty hilarious. It just makes you look even worse. Why not just admit you hate trans people because you think it’s weird and gross and you’re secretly afraid that your son or daughter or you yourself might have such tendencies? Just admit that there’s no science to back up your bigotry, it’s all a bunch of hateful garbage, that your fear of these folks is much closer to a mental disease than any aspect of what they do. If you’re willing to admit these things then we can have a fruitful discussion. -
More female and less white’: Missouri AG accuses Starbucks of violating anti-discrimination laws
The Real timschochet replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
I’m not trying to force anyone to believe in anything. You want to believe that trans is a disease, have at it. I know what 99% of the respected scientists say; you want to ignore them up to you. I AM trying to get you and others to leave these people alone. Let them have dignity and respect. Don’t discriminate against them, allow them to join the military and have the same rights as anyone else. What Trump is doing is wrong. -

Again with the "vast majority" fallacy. You're lying and you know it but want to push your wish-casting as fact. It's not. You Trans Flat Earthers are a hoot. -

Wrong thread (though I’ve noticed a tendency to discuss trans issues in every thread- it’s the #1 obsession around here.) -

Actually, it means it's not debatable. The VAST majority of scientists do not believe in the trans pseudo-science. Any scientist who does is not, in fact, an actual scientist then. You're a flat earther. And THAT is not debatable either. -

No and I won’t. It’s like asking me to read the opinion of a nuclear physicist who thinks Einstein is full of sh!t and the Theory of Relativity is total crap. I don’t read pseudo science. When the American Psychiatric Association, the American Medical Association, the CDC, the World Health Organization tell me that trans is a mental disease, then I’ll believe it. Not before. Until that happens I will ignore all your “evidence” because I know it’s BS. -

Sorry, but your "vast majority" fallacy is just that: a fallacy. You have absolutely no idea so you're just wish-casting again, as usual. You're on the wrong side of history again, Tim. Seems like this is a pattern for you. You pro-trans knuckleheads are the new Flat Earthers. Enjoy your label. You've earned it. -

The Real timschochet replied to Fireballer's topic in The Geek Club
Here’s what I think: you WANT to believe that trans is a disease because it fits your world view and bigoted ideology. So you pick and choose and find a few scientists that agree with you and ignore the views of the vast majority of highly respected scientists. And yes you do the same thing with climate change, with vaccines, and with the news media in general. This is why it’s almost impossible for reasonable people to have conversations with folks like @Strike. They have created, in recent years, their own facts and their own reality. Nicolle Wallace on MSNBC has a word for this: Earth 2. That’s where you live. -

1. You gotta stop with the instant "MAGA" reaction. It just reeks of TDS, most people just live their life through values and vote however that turns out. 2. Here's la ittle hint. I'm going to speak for myself but I do believe others feel the same. I'm not "dismissing" Trans people. They are who they are and I hope they find peace and happiness. My angst is more to the woke school board members, the woke white women and beta males who create spaces for mentally ill people to engage with kids. I don't hate the pit bull, he is who he is, I hate the pit bull owner who brings him to the 6 year old birthday party. -

Yep, let's rewrite history too to make it look like trans people have always been around in large numbers since the caveman times and it was "perfectly normal" back then too boot. -

Let's not dismiss all trans people just because a tiny fraction of them read books in libraries. More MAGA baby-with-the-bathwater mindset. Would love to see them apply that same mentality to all Republicans just because Matt Gaetz is a kid diddler. -

100% agreed. When your mental illness affects only yourself, cool, but when it affects others in a harmful way that is bad. Pedo's who sit at home and daydream of touching kids while jerking off is frankly okay in a society, as soon as they try to groom, influence, or actually touch a kid. All bets are off, hang em'. And this may make you uncomfortable in the analogy but most folks don't really care if some person born a man, turns into a woman by the way they dress, talk, act and by way of surgery. To each their own, live your life and be happy. But when they try to affect others, the moms and dads perk up. Why is there a Transgender reads to elementary students day at the local school? Let's write how cool Trans people are in books and put them in elementary school libraries. Let's fly the Tans Flag high and we have to be normalized!@#! That stuff doesn't fly Holmes. Moms and Dad's aren't having it. -

With my company we have to do the good ol' harassment training course annually, and it's the scenarios they set up in there that are comical, particularly the gay and trans ones. The all-American men-harassing-women scenarios go something like this: John: Damn, Tanya, your teets look magnificant today, and you're ass is rocking like a Metallica concert. Tanya: Um, uh, thanks, I guess. John: Tanya, you wanna come over to my apartment tonight for some whiskey, fentanyl and butt sex? Man, I'll plow you old school like an 1800s farmer with a mule and a hoe. QUIZ WHAT SHOULD TANYA DO HERE? A.) Just chalk it up to John being John but politely decline. B.) Go over to John's apartment, because, hell, she hasn't been laid in years. C.) Do nothing. D.) Go rub the kitty in the women's restroom for some relief. E.) Report him to human resources immediately. -

What would a DNA test on a sample from a trans person tell you about their sex? We both know the answer but that’s the point. You’re asking me to believe an opinion and I’m choosing to believe what science tells us. I used the chromosome argument, I can use DNA as a substantive case, there is nothing other than someone’s feeling to counter it. -

Here are my own words: 1. I have no idea about BIID, having never heard of it before. But if the groups I cited, who are NOT POLITICAl, think it’s a mental disorder then it is. 2. Trans in not a mental disorder because the groups I cited says it isn’t. -

Two things: 1. I respect the attempt, not the best, but it's much better than most responses. 2. It's funny, just today at my company we had to take an HR e-learning module. 1 out of every 3 "scenarios" where they were talking about at work discrimination, bullying, things you should go to HR, etc. there was a Trans person as the main character. It's been the trendy, new and cool "marginalized" group the past few years and thus.....everywhere. No one is obsessed, they are just commenting on what's out there in the mainstream. Duh. -

No, I'm not wrong on that. They are absolutely, positively political advocacy groups. No amount of strong, mistaken words on your part changes that fact. Tell us in your own words why you think BIID is a mental disorder, but trans isn't. -

Tim, again, you obviously gobble up what “authoritative” sources tell you. These orgs do no research. All of their stances are rooted from a single tentacle…WPATH infiltrated academia. That’s it. ALL of the trans ideology is born from a single grain from the DSM that says it not a mental illness due to fear of societal “perception”. That’s it. That single statement based on feelings, and not research, has molded society over decades. Seriously dude, get out of your echo chamber. -

All of these groups are political, lobbying organizations. Scientific American has had nothing to do with science for years, we've discussed this. Use your own words to explain why you think BIID is different than trans.
