The bolded is faulty logic, particularly in a team sport. Heck, Aaron Judge could play on a bad HS baseball team and they would still lose most of the time (in this case, they would intentionally walk him). More bad logic. This is like saying if an NFL safety launches his helmet into a defenseless receiver's head, but the receiver stays in the game, he shouldn't be penalized. "No harm, no foul" is a bad way to judge, which is why it isn't done. There is also a slippery slope here. If it's OK for this guy to play, when Karch Kiraly Jr. comes along, identifies as a girl, and starts caving in opponents' faces, the trans sports supporters will argue it's no different, she's just a little better is all. This leaves us to legislate on a case by case basis based on some subjective, undefinable definition of when it becomes dangerous or non-competitive, which is unmanageable. And, if somehow we were to try that, we would be saying to the male athlete that they suck so bad that they can play. Not exactly a confidence builder, as I hear is a reason to let trans women compete. -

@Strike, stupid comments like this are why I push back on certain aspects of these discussions while agreeing with the overall point that trans women shouldn’t play women’s sports. A few trannies don’t mean the end of women’s sports. The fact that the athlete in this story couldn’t even qualify her team for the NCAA tournament shows that’s not going to happen. Lia Thomas is pretty much the only significantly accomplished trans woman in the history of NCAA D1, that was two years ago and pretty sure she wouldn’t be eligible under the current rules. -
The problem is that the messaging from the Democrat party is the easy way out and that women are convinced they're victims. The Republican's shouldn't do that. The Republican's are fighting for women in sports and Democrats are still coming out with a pro-trans movement and women are still backing them. College women, because that's who's voting Democrat, are brainwashed. That's not going to change.

On the other hand, people are protesting Tesla because the CEO is haphazardly laying off tens of thousands of people and bragging about it like a doosh. MAGAs were protesting BL because they made a six pack of tranny beer that no one would have known about it people like a few Geeks I won’t name didn’t spend hours scouring the web for trans related stuff. Nobody has been physically harmed that I know of so I’ll call it a wash. -

This right here. All politicians lie to a certain extent. Its like no one here grew up being told "dont ever trust a politician". The left thinks Trump is bad and lies and doesnt care about the every day person. Insinuating they think Biden or any high up Dem actually does give a shlt. I can speak for myself here, and I think outside of a handful of righties here, Trump exaggerates and tells lies sometimes. Trump probably doesnt give 2 craps about me or you. But none of them do. I do like DOGE however. Ill take any transparency in this day and age. Through time, any citizens right or left has asked "how are my tax dollars being spent" or "there as to be fraud within these government agencies". Dems absolutely would have been preaching this at one point not all that long ago. But now because its Trump uncovering it, they some how think its bad. Would there be a better way to do it? Sure, in a perfect world. You have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet in this imperfect world. Im all for any sort of transparency. The vast majority of people didnt know we send some of our tax dollars to fund things like trans crap in some bumfock country. The amount of our tax dollars that disappear or go to frivolous things in some crap country is mind blowing and ridiculous while many parts of thr country are in poverty or have to drive on ridiculous neglected roadways. -

Not sure why you would choose to bring me up regarding this topic. I’ve been very clear: transgender women should not be allowed to compete in girls sports. Period. On other issues regarding trans I tend to be woke and accepting- I don’t think it’s a mental disease, I’m for allowing them to use the bathrooms of their choice, I don’t think the state should be involved in gender affirming treatment etc. etc. and I reject totally the conservative anti-trans hysteria. But on this one issue I find myself on the conservative side. -

I'm impressed that you could respond in a way which so missed my points. 1. As per your article, the restriction is for people with gender dysphoria. 2. Trans surgeries and hormones may or may not address the issue of gender dysphoria. 3. People who have physically transitioned require daily meds which is a significant part of why they cannot join the military, much like a type 1 diabetic requires constant insulin. 4. SCOTUS has already ruled on this. -

No, type 1 diabetics (like my daughter) cannot join the military. To your initial question in the OP of making an argument, I'll let your own link argue for me: This podunk low-level activist judge is directly contradicting recent SCOTUS precedent. She should be impeached and disbarred. Further: Gender dysphoria is a mental health condition as per DSM-5, which in and of itself is sufficient to disallow joining. But in addition, it would likely lead to the person pursuing trans surgery, on the taxpayer's dime of course, in addition to all of the (expensive) daily medication which further precludes deployment. Your rebuttal on my argument? -

I don't have a trach, I had a laryngectomy. I permanently breathe through a stoma in my trachea, unless they come up with a way to regrow my larynx. Which is actually being worked on at the Mayo here. I'm not sure if they would have needed to do something prior to my surgery to make such a procedure work, and I'm usually disqualified from such things because of the metastasis, but who knows, maybe someday. I've done swallow tests. My problem is a combo of (1) the reconstruction of my throat left some ridges that pool food and liquid, and (2) I speak through a prosthetic device between my trachea and esophagus (TEP, or trans-esophageal prosthetic). The TEP is basically a tube with a valve -- when I push air through it, the valve opens, my esophagus vibrates, and walla! sounds kinda like speech. Works quite well actually. Unfortunately, it is not a permanent device, as crud and fungus collects on the valve and affects the seal of the valve and the TEP cylinder itself. So some amount of aspiration eventually occurs. The trick is to determine when it is consistent enough to get it changed, which happens every few months. The change involves pliers to yank it out of my throat, then a device to jam the new one into my throat. It's not a pleasant experience. ETA: Regarding the swallow test: with a lary, my esophagus is completely isolated from my trachea, so that isn't the issue.with my aspiration. I mentioned above that I brought up the possibility of aspiration-related nodule, and the doc said it was possible. She didn't use the word pneumonia though. Googling around, it looks like usually this presents with infection-related issues (fever, etc.) which I don't have, nor do I have a cough. But it can cause a "lung abscess." It sounds like you had limited symptoms as well. I'm not inclined to delay the surgery any more, but thanks for the info. I really hope this is the cause. -

Id be stunned if Trump is on the 80% side of any issue other than maybe trans in sports. A big part of the problem in politics today is that neither party offers much on the issues that matter to the overwhelming majority of Americans: jobs, healthcare, housing, education, etc. So they barely even try. Thats why the parties spend so much time bickering about trannies, furries, DEI, etc. It costs nothing and it’s way easier to work their side into a lather than to tackle any real issues. HTH

Liberals are losing their minds, and we are just getting started. Just wait until their favorite politicians are getting arrested. This runs so deep. Deeper than even most Trump supporters realize. There is a tie between JFK and Trump. They are going to have a really hard life unless they come to peace with this, because we aren't going back to the insane trans identity politics that their own identities are tied to. Trump was able to stop their election interference when he wasn't even president yet. He's going to set this country up so that it's impossible to happen again.

I get thats how you have always felt, I am not questioning it in the slightest, I have multiple trans friends and I have open conversations with them, one of them is one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen. But like you, she also knows shes a male. And I have absolutely zero issue with anything you said, and I am sure you are beautfiul. I also get bullying is terrible and I would never condone that, and I understand it leads to underlying issues. a little background with me, I have been working with multiple psychologists/clinical therapists for well over a decade, and my primary focus is mental health issues. I do believe there are people like you who are born that way, while also knowing that alot of this (nowadays, I assume we are probably in similar age) is being created by society (example that hollywood gal with 3 trans kids, gimme a break) I have never disrespected a trans nor ever would, I also personally (with discussions with other biological science minded people) feel that the amount of toxins in our foods and phytoplastics in everything we see is lowering the average testosterone of males, (30% on average over the last 30 years), and it starts in early development in the womb. the decrease in testosterone "could" have a major factor in developing paired with the increases in estrogen in our foods, which is why we see such a large % of the trans being M to F, where the inverse isnt true its still to this day classified by the DSM5 as a mental illness, and I would argue that something wrong with how your brain views you would be a qualifying case. Im glad to hear you still have the twig and berries, I think the extreme decision to remove them is something that I could never understand, to sterilize yourself and never have an orgasm again, can't see how that would make you happier to each their own much love Francie, and I would definitely sit down and have a discussion with you anytime cheers!

I don't think it's that hard, or needs a separate locker room facility. I've said here many times: my youngest daughter has Type 1 diabetes. She is free to pursue happiness... except where she isn't, in the interest of societal good. She can't join the military for instance. Trans adults should be free to lead their lives as trans, but not to enter women's safe spaces. I'll again exclude bathrooms, because I do agree that that is a complex issue. Agreed?
