How does your Dad? Some people have a gender identity that doesn’t match the sex they were given at birth — for example, they were born with a vulva, vagina, and uterus, but they identify as male. These people are transgender (or trans). Transgender is the “T” in LGBTQ.

Why, he has a valid point. A major concern of opening women's spaces (including restrooms) up to trans folks is that it opens them up to abusers of all orientation.

First, good for you on the self defense stuff. If a stranger picks up a kid and carries them out, and the kid just wiggles and cries, bystanders will presume it is a disciplinary situation. Gouging eyes and kicking balls though, that's not normal and gets attention. I would add to teach them to scream "you're not my father/mother!" as well. We used to work on this with kids in our martial arts classes (it helped that we had helmets with face masks, and cups). Anyway, I would propose that we are both concerned with different slippery slopes. Yours is that people use the bathroom issue as an anti-trans issue. That's fair. Mine is that letting them in bathrooms, if not in and of itself dangerous, is a step in the Saul Alinsky playbook of letting them into locker rooms, prisons, and women's sports. Sometimes the thing is just the thing, though. On the locker rooms and prisons, to me that is an easy hard stop. Similar for women's sports, definitely contact sports, but any where a biological male would have a competitive advantage. You legislate to the norm -- if there is some obscure case like the boxer who was identified as female at birth, you address that as a one-off. The bathrooms to me are a little harder; I'd default to "no" because of young girls in particular, but like I said, I don't know that any guy can truly empathize with the concerns women have in the presence of large men. I'd just as well let women duke that one out and decide. In the end, IMO it's unfortunate that opposition to biological men in women's locker rooms, say, is argued by both sides as whether or not the person is truly a woman. I think that distracts from the real concerns. I would prefer that my "side" take more of an approach of "we understand that you identify as a woman, but for the good of society, we can't let you into these spaces. Here is why." There are clear reasons, many of which I've mentioned already.

Psychological evaluation is not even a thing anymore. The official medical standard only requires self-identification. Typically a kid will go into a clinic, some trans-activist will counsel the child and they will fill out a questionnaire. The questionnaire gets faxed to a doctor who rubber stamps it and drugs are prescribed and treatments leading up to and including surgery are begun. -
at your last sentence. So say you are... Dave Rubin. Gay guy, seems to agree with what I posted from their website. Might he be the type of person who joins the organization? On a related note, and I don't want to sidetrack this thread with more trans talk, but I suspect that a lot of the kids falling under the spell of the trans social contagion are confused gay kids. I further suspect that a lot of gay adults think "dang, thank goodness that wasn't going on when I was a kid." I further further suspect that a lot of gay adults are not thrilled to have the trans and 46 (or however many at last count) gender stuff under the same umbrella as them. So to me, it is totally believable that a lot of gay people would be in support of this movement.

The WNBA is on track to lose 50 million this year
Voltaire replied to kilroy69's topic in The Geek Club
With World Destruction Imminent, Leftists Grow Increasingly Concerned About The WNBA By Andrew Klavan • Jun 28, 2024 DailyWire.com You know, as we swirl rapidly down into the hurly-burly, upsy-daisy, stinky-dinky of the American political season before being flushed swiftly into the thunderous plumbing of loyalist rage, expert idiocy, and media lies until we emerge in the noxious sewer of broken promises, vengeful hyperbole and did I already mention media lies, I’d like to take a moment to refresh our souls at the fountain of compassion by walking a mile in our opponents’ shoes and then hiding them, so our opponents have to hop around barefoot in all the crap they’ve left lying around on the streets of our cities, which would only serve them right. For instance, as November looms, it’s now becoming clear that leftists are facing a problem. With Iran putting the final touches on the nuclear arsenal funded with the pallets of billions sent to them by Barack Obama and Joe Biden, and with China strengthening the Navy that is rapidly outstripping an American military strangling on Democrat funding cuts while wasting its resources celebrating the sexual perversity that is the mainstay of the Left’s political philosophy, and with Russia completing the destruction of Ukraine because the massive amounts of American funding meant to defend that nation have been inexplicably slow-walked, allowing Putin to refresh his attack while Biden dithers, Left-wingers across our country are growing increasingly concerned about the WNBA. Now whether you don’t know what the WNBA is or don’t care, the problem for leftists is very complex. The rise of superstar player Caitlin Clark into some girls’ team or other has provided leftists with a great reason to pretend to give a smoldering belch about a bunch of lady beanstalks throwing a ball at a net with a level of skill so amazing it makes the men’s game look much better and more entertaining. But this raises questions. If Caitlin Clark has caused leftists to pretend to follow the WNBA with the same enthusiasm with which they pretend to follow soccer, why didn’t they pretend to follow the game when all the most talented players were black? And now, when some black player whose name they don’t know because they never watched a WNBA game in their lives, fouls Caitlin Clark by smacking her full force in the back of the head, should leftists side with Caitlin, since she’s the only reason they’re pretending to watch the games in the first place, or should they Google the name of the black player and side with her so they don’t have to admit it was their flagrantly racist behavior that made black what’s-her-name clock Caitlin because what’s-her-name has been playing her nameless heart out with a work ethic and skill that raises women’s basketball to a level nowhere near the men’s game, and no one’s been watching her all that time, because she’s in the WNBA. And what about trans people? If a hulking male like Lia Thomas is allowed to go swinging his dingus around a woman’s locker room so that leftists can pretend there’s no advantage to being a male athlete in a woman’s sport, why didn’t the leftists pretend to watch women’s basketball before Caitlin Clark so that women players could be paid the same amount as men with money that would exist if anyone was buying tickets to their games instead of the men’s games where the people play better because they’re men? Now if a black MAN were playing in the WNBA, and HE fouled Caitlin Clark by hitting her full force in the back of the head, then for the next few years, while Caitlin Clark was regaining consciousness and learning to walk again and use dining utensils with dulled edges so she didn’t cut herself, she could be replaced by another black man who would foul other players, until the entire WNBA was populated by black men making the games worth watching. Then all the leftists’ dilemmas could be solved by watching black men play basketball and calling it the WNBA thus supporting black people, trans people and women’s sports which will finally rise to the level of men’s sports by being sports played by men. That would make all the leftists happy—until China, Russia and Iran slaughter everyone because Democrats suck at running the country. -

Twerking is a trans thing? -
I mean someone talking out of turn in class is far less serious an issue. I wouldn't call their parents after the first time but obviously a sexual assault is different. My point is this- all stats show most abuse of kids is by someone who is not a stranger to them. Most sexual assaults (something like 70% according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics) occur in a residence. The best I can find is that 10% of sexual assaults occur in a closed, public location. Bathrooms would be a part of this I'd assume. The simple fact is you are considerably less likely to be sexually attacked in a bathroom than anywhere else and I'd venture the level of trans assaults in a bathroom is relatively small. Any number more than 0 is bad- but like...we accept guns right...or any other number of bad things where the number is more than zero.

They made it worse by ignoring the whole situation . I kind of think people wore just as mad or even more when they went totally silent when all the “ frat boy” stuff hit. Now you had the trans issue plus insulting their customers

You claimed I was wrong about this yesterday. So, please, as I said yesterday, dig beyond activist websites. Danger, you may get triggered to also find out that some stats show that trans people are LESS prone to be victims of homocide than the general pop. Sure seems like grounds for their own Remembrance Day for sure.

They fired the head of marketing who was in charge of this. The public got out their feelings about that dude Dylan and trans people. The woke culture seems to be dying down. I believe a point was made, the message was received and things can normalize again.

The Boys Too "Woke" For You? "Go Watch Something Else": Eric Kripke
WhiteWonder replied to Cdub100's topic in The Geek Club
Neither have I. Someone suggested the show because I am a fan of Jensen Ackles even though he’s barely in it. the odd thing is I usually get annoyed and easily see the woke crap. Like umbrella academy for example when it wasn’t enough to have the trans actor playing a character, they had to make the character trans as well in season 2. I never really got annoyed with the boys because everything is so satirical. After season 1 or 2, gun to my head I would have said the creators of the show were more conservative and making fun of heavy liberals. But obviously that’s not the case. -

What is it for any way? To remember that most trans violence is perpetrated by other members of the alphabet squad and they are exponentially safer around conservatives? -
Kids these days *want* to be autistic for some focking reason. Same with ADHD and, yes, being trans. They think it makes them cool or interesting. Also gives them an excuse or victim card to fall back on. It’s pretty ridiculous, tbh

If you voted trump , but stand against God, you might not like some of the positive changes to come in schools, gone, nasty gross trans reading to children, in , Oklahoma orders Bibles for use in public school classrooms. Oh you angry atheist trump supporters. Indeed. Romans 8:15. For you have not received the Spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, ABBA , Father. Another Tranny thread@$!@%@ "Veronica Garcia wins 400m by 50m"
Mike Honcho replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
Again, to be clean, by impact - I'm talking about the total number number formerly male trans athletes competing in women's sports. Just anecdotally based on this board, I'm pretty sure I'm hearing about every dang trans athlete issue that comes up. And even if TikTok has decided to censor a video, which is their right, there are millions of outlets that will spread the news everytime some fe(male) wins an event. I said nothing about it being sporting to have a biological advantage and did state " it clearly seems unfair in most situations." I was talking about the self-esteem that comes with participating in sports in general. And please see above about what I meant for impact. For instance I played basketball on the JV team that went 3-17, we were terrible. On top of that there were only 7 total players on the team and I was the last off the bench. On team with only 7 players, 20 games for 640 total minutes of basketball, I scored 10 points. But I still learned the lessons of teamwork, being dedicated and gained the self-esteem of knowing I worked every day during that season and gave it my all the entire time. That's what I mean by self-esteem. I'm not talking any self-esteem(which would be more ego) from the fe(male) who beats her competitors by 50M. On top of gender dysphoria, a person would also be dealing with a massive narcism problem to be proud of that accomplishment. The issue that I have is that I believe sports can be beneficial to all for a variety of reasons of character building reason. I hope that someday there is some kind of equitable solution so that everyone who wants to compete can AND it's on a level playing field. So until that solution presents itself, I'm left with . That doesn't mean I don't see the problem or am ignoring it, I just don't think the solution is black or white. -
He followed all the standard MAGAtard follows on Twitter. He was also weirdly obsessed with trans people just like many on this board. As shown by the video, Card liked tweets from high-profile conservative figures such as Donald Trump Jnr., Tucker Carlson, Dinesh D'Souza. He also engaged with publications from former house speakers Kevin McCarthy and Jim Jordan, as per the video. The most eye-catching tweet interaction of them all was one involving mass shooters published by Trump jr. "Given the incredible rise of trans/non-binary mass shooters in the last few years... by far the largest group committing as a percentage of population... maybe, rather than talking about guns we should be talking about lunatics pushing their gender affirming bullsh*t on our kids?" it read. That wasn't the only time his expressed views against the trans community. "The trans movement, it turns out, is the mirror image of Christianity, and therefore its natural enemy. People who believe they're God can't stand to be reminded that they're not" read Tucker Carlson's tweet from March this year which he also liked https://www.marca.com/en/lifestyle/us-news/2023/10/26/653a5e98268e3e2a208b45c1.html
