Slush Puppy 0 Posted March 17, 2006 I am gonna hafta go with TOEJAM AND EARL in my number one spot. The original is just a a fine piece of work and is still entertaining to this very day. In my second spot i WIll select the little known TWO CRUDE DUDES. Just an unbelievable game all around. Scary thing is in the opening they have the WTC falling down and the game game out in 1993. any other games?
DVD 0 Posted March 17, 2006 Shenmue for DC was pretty cool.

bigmarc27 24 Posted March 17, 2006 Red Faction on PS2 Jurassic Park on Sega CD Coach K's college basketball on Sega Shining Force on Sega Also, they're not really underrated, but the Splinter Cell games are the bestest ever and should be recognized as such. Chronic Husker 85 Posted March 17, 2006 I thought Ten Yard Fight on NES was pretty sweet. Sure, you only had the option of running one play every single down, but it was a hell of a lot better than Atari football. Hot Shots Golf on Playstation was very addictive for some peeps I know. River Raid is probably the best little known Atari game. My dad and I played the ###### out of that game. Haven't played enough XBox games to say....... dcOne 2 Posted March 17, 2006 I just found a site where you can play just about any old school game, just the way it was. Console Classix. I had the software downloaded and was playing Ikari Warriors within about 3 minutes. Gonna go check out Tecmo....
Cdub100 3,891 Posted March 17, 2006 Ikari Warriors Loved this game. Great if you had friend over because you could play 2 players at the same time.
Jeremy 0 Posted March 17, 2006 Agreed that Toe Jam and Earl was great. Loved that game. Arkanoid on the NES was one of my favorites, until the controller than came with it broke. Doesn't work well without that controller.
TD Ryan2 316 Posted March 17, 2006 off the top of my head: Rygar - Zelda and Catlevania were all the rage. Rygar was right there but never got the press. SNK Baseball Stars - fockin' invented the whole concept of building up a player/team's attributes. The game play was fantastic too... slides, climbing the wall to rob HRs. R-Type - a side scrolling shooter for the obscure TurboGraphics console. IMO, R-Type was the pinnacle of side scrolling shooters. Ridge Racer - the game that came with the original Playstation. This racing game kicked ass. The control was topps... powersliding through tight corners and using the brakes/accelerator for control has never been more spot on than it was with Ridge Racer. there are more.... FunkyMcCool 0 Posted March 17, 2006 Road Rash & Shadowrun were two of my personal faves. I also played Iron Storm on Sega Saturn until my fingers were numb, but I love the old turn-based war genre.

dcOne 2 Posted March 17, 2006 http://www.consoleclassix.com/ So far, I've played Ikari Warriors, Punch Out, Tecmo Super Bowl, and now I'm going to give "Bases Loaded" a whirl. I remember a guy named "Paste" could whack almost every ball out of the park.

Mungwater 596 Posted March 17, 2006 I loved Double Dribble on the NES (double dwibble as the computer would say) complete with the dancing pickle mascots as halftime. I remember there being a spot on the right side of the three point line where you just couldn't miss, how to steal the jump ball everytime, what an awesome game. Blades Of Steel - NES Forgot that one, good call, that was the first one where you can actually fight each other if a fight broke out, right?
brinett9 0 Posted March 17, 2006 John Elway's Quarterback (NES). Once you got the timing down, you could throw a long bomb for a TD every play. Forgot that one, good call, that was the first one where you can actually fight each other if a fight broke out, right? Yeah, and whoever won the fight got the puck. Even aside from the fighting it was a great hockey game.

Electric Mayhem 35 Posted March 17, 2006 Mariocart - N64 I cannot even fathom how many hours me and my friends spent playing this game. Easily in the hundreds. Once we found the options to give you multiple baseballs, cars and goo it was all over. We would turn off all the other prizes and turn the track into a minefield. Man that was fun. TD Ryan2 316 Posted March 17, 2006 fav move was the back brain kick. fighter Hyabusa... and probably the most difficult (i.e. worst) of all the special moves. King Slender's special move was the easiest and most effective. As a "one button" move, it was faster than all but a jab.
