L White will drop

Recommended Posts

But he's better than Reggie. He's better suited for the NFL. He's a bruising power back.

Hopefully this will put all that nonsense to rest.

Please... Reggie even out benched the fat boy by 9 reps and he's like 40 lbs. lighter...

White is another TJ Duckett AT BEST...

And yes I think he'll drop in the draft, but not 3rd round. Someone will take him late 1st or early 2nd. I can't see Pittsburgh passing on him to replace Bettis if he falls that far...

He will still be drafted in the first. I think he slips to being the #4 rb selected in this years draft. His bench is what really surprised me.

I was hoping he would slip to the Steelers, now I'm not so sure.

From what I have read a injured hamstring is what caused his poor showing. He is supposed to hold a private workout the week before the draft.

benching 225 15 times when you weigh 250 is pathetic. it's pretty obvious that he's not working out with weights very often...what a lazy biatch. he has all this time to get ready for the "usc workout" and shows up looking like a bum.

When Pete Carroll was on Sirius NFL Radio last week, he was asked about LenDale White's speed. Carroll indicated that White had never run for the Trojans in terms of timing him, and now all of a sudden White comes down with a bad case of sore-hamstring-itis.

Give me a break. This "injury" is simply a ploy to mask his slow-as-molasses footwork, and it will cost him mucho dollars come draft time.

Someone else said it best: LenDale White < TJ Duckett.

I don't know much about White- but does he have natural ability? Could he become faster and is just lazy? Is he stronger than what he showed but just didn't prepare? I guess what I'm asking is he an Unpolished gem or OVERATED?

White has good technique and quick feet, I've heard him compared to Bettis in that regard. The only problem with that comparison is that Bettis ran a 4.5 coming out of college and I believe he was bigger in college as well.

I want a job...what!!! I have to interview for it, what's up with that? Just give me lots of money, I need a new couch to sit my fat butt on.

What a knucklehead.

Run your 40

Everyone knows about your production, trust your ability. I don't believe NFL folks will take a shine to this ploy.

He's costing himself money. Early mocks had him at #10 to the Cardinals. Well they met with him at the combine and he didn't run, and they decided to sign Edge. He's cost himself some serious coin.

Does anyone know if he has an agent or is he representing himself?

I would've assumed had an agent as most projected first rounders do, but usually they prepare these kids and get their value up as much as they can. :headscratch:

"I was surprised," Bush said regarding the fact that White didn't run the 40. "He said he was hurt."

My favorite line from the article. They are team mates. They share a locker room and training facilities. If White was hurt it's really hard to believe that Bush would not know about it until the pro day.

BUST! <_<

This is a good question. This kid's agent should have had him ready. Even if he did get hurt at the combine.

Seriously, he should have had a physical therapist/trainer with him 24/7 until he was good to go. Now he has a little less than 3 weeks to get well and show what he can do.

I thought the same thing.

I have no idea if he was hurt or not, reports are he was but you never KNOW for sure. He needs to run though, even if he is hobbled. Teams will not draft a 1st rounder unless they have some documented times on him. If he doesn't run, he will slip to late 1st or into the 2nd. I doubt he would slip further even if he doesn't run.

Obviously he hurt his stock in this performance, but to say that he dropped to the third round is a completely asinine statement.

Bench press is over-rated for Runningbacks... If anything it will hinder his ability to pass protect but as far as if the guy can be an effective running back I think bench press has little to do with it.

I would like to see how much these guys can leg press or squat at the combine. Leg stregnth is problably the most important stregnth test you can give a football player. Everything starts with the legs even blocking... Its a good indicator for all position players but for Offensive linemen if you don't have the upper body stregnth you won't be able to maintain blocks.

Someone just started another thread on White. Talking about his man tittie cup size. If I am a GM with the facts that have been stated here and this latest news, he is not 3rd RD anymore. He is not on my draft board. Let someone else be villified for picking him. BUST!

Lendale White - RB - New England Patriots

He won't make it that far. The Ravens will take him if no one else. He's as big a back as Jamal, and catches the ball a lot better.

While its true that his postseason has not made him any money, it has not cost him that much either. Nothing has come out except what was known going into last season. He isnt the first guy to rest on his accomplishments before the draft. He wont be the last. When all is said and done, the 2005 season is still on tape, and it will still be his calling card.

The Pats might get D'angelo Williams tho.
