cmh6476 1,016 Posted April 3, 2006 Guess you've never seen UCLA play defense......... i took Florida and then LSU and the under last week So I know they can play some D, but I think these two teams can put up 129+. Of course I think the outcome could go either way...
GobbleDog 985 Posted April 3, 2006 As a Gator fan, I'm a little biased, but I correctly predicted FL to cover the past 3 games. And if we were facing LSU now, I'd put the mortgage on FL. But UCLA makes me nervous. I don't know much about UCLA other than the fact that they have won 10 of of the 11 times they were in a championship game. And this UCLA team is a crafty group that scraps hard for every loose ball. Overall, I'd give to the edge to Florida due to their inside presence. UCLA needs to shoot well because FL won't allow many second chances. However, if UCLA does shoot well, this game could very well come down to a last second buzzer beater. Tarheel Boy 0 Posted April 4, 2006 Hope your Bruins pull it out, Zap. You've always cheered on the Heels, so I'm returning the favor tonight.

Byars41 0 Posted April 4, 2006 UCLA can't get any good looks. Noah isn't allowing them to get any easy buckets in the paint and nobody beside Farmar can stick a jump shot. i can't see them coming back in this one.

brzrboy 0 Posted April 4, 2006 I have to say each year I watch the jubilation and excitement exhibited by the winners of the ncaa t'ment, I am jealous, and cannot wait until that day when the KU Jayhawks once again stand tall and win it all.

nobody 2,581 Posted April 4, 2006 The officiating of this game was horrible, but that's not why UCLA lost. Florida was playing at full speed and UCLA was playing at 80% speed. I almost think there was point shaving going on. I mean how can it not be obvious that when someone beats your trap you sprint back to the paint. Farmar jogged back every single time. The blantantly lacadasical transition defense was insulting to watch. How do you play tremendous help and recover defense against LSU and then not play any help defense against Florida? It was pretty great seeing Aboya teabag Noah on that one inbounds play, though.
Riddlen 1 Posted April 4, 2006 It was pretty great seeing A boy teabag another on that one playground, though. friggin sicko
Fumbleweed 517 Posted April 4, 2006 After such a great start, the tournament fizzled at the end. No Final Four games were even close. True, but Florida did play at a very high level for both games. Sometimes, you get two teams doing that at the same time, which is the most exciting.....but, at least both teams didn't play just mediocre basketball. One team went out and won it, which is a good thing. Props to Florida (even though as a Kentucky fan, I normally don't like them). They were the best team in this tournament and they are deserving champions.
Byars41 0 Posted April 4, 2006 It was pretty great seeing Aboya teabag Noah on that one inbounds play, though. that was UCLA's only highlight of the night. it was great. but did you notice how CBS neglected to show the replay? they went to commerical and showed a montage of dunks and left that one off. i never saw a replay of it. maybe they played it later and i missed it but right after it happened they didn't show it again. but congrats to Florida That was one of the most impressive games i recall seeing a team play in the NCAA Championship Game. Congrats to the Gators. They really dominated the Final 4 in a major way. They just kept getting better and better. I couldn't see a weakness in their game at the Final 4. Just perfection in all phases. Hats off to the Gators

GobbleDog 985 Posted April 4, 2006 HOW BOUT THEM GATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been doing the banana dance all night and all morning! NCAA Champions!!! I still can't believe it! What a game! Our inside game showed up big time last night!!!! Blocking shots, monster dunks, rebounds left and right! Seemed to me UCLA paid too much attention to Lee Humphries trying to keep him from knocking down the 3 pointers like he did against George Mason, instead of defending the paint. On the other side of the ball, UCLA shot poorly and couldn't get any second chances, and that really did them in. UNBELIEVABLE!!! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! NO TIME FOR LOSERS CAUSE WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS..... OF THE NCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
