If you were a average Arab what would you think of the US ?

Just an average run of the mill towel head camel jockey'n citizen. What would you think of America - and not counting the negative media - throw that out. If you had to form your own opinion of the US from what you have witnessed would you consider them good people and allies or western scum ?

then you'd of course recall when your team got crapped on by germany four years ago to the tune of 8-0!

 

assuming I'd be a muslim as well, I'd be discouraged by the fact that americans aren't submitting to allah, since he would certainly give them peace and a better afterlife. but beyond that, as misguided as they'd be, I'd probably realize that the average american isn't inheirently evil, that their time is spent going to work, trying to be productive citizens, and spending time with their families. they're trying to do the right thing as they see it. obviously there are exceptions and there's a lot of scumbags in america but it's difficult to put 300 million people under one explaination.

Jealousy is obviously the correct answer here. It's only natural for people to feel that way.

 

Despite all the bad press from the Iraq situation, I also believe other countries and people still look at the US government as fair and generally good natured.
