burdsheet 0 Posted July 25, 2006 so I caught TO on Inside Sports ... what an lying piece of garbage. Oh yeah, it's just coincidence that he's had problems w/ every QB he's ever been with. Sure ... whatever. ANyway, enough about that waste of space ... seeing some of the footage from his days in SF when he was signing balls, cheering w/ the cheerleaders etc kind of reminded me of Chad Johnson. I mean, before TO started bad mouthing Garcia, he was doing all the same stuff that Chad Johnson does. So is Chad going to turn into an @sshole like TO when the team starts losing or is he nothing like TO?
Franknbeans 46 Posted July 25, 2006 Chad's a choir boy compared to TO.

Ras66not99 0 Posted July 25, 2006 so I caught TO on Inside Sports ... what an lying piece of garbage. Oh yeah, it's just coincidence that he's had problems w/ every QB he's ever been with. I mean, before TO started bad mouthing Garcia, he was doing all the same stuff that Chad Johnson does. So is Chad going to turn into an @sshole like TO when the team starts losing or is he nothing like TO? They're similar in some ways but are Miles apart..... Chad is way more into winning and the team concept than Terrell Owens even though they're equally as great in terms of talent.. I'm not down on Terrell like the rest of the world is... I honestly think Owens says what he sees and thinks... not the best way to go about things, but he obviously doesn't give a $hit about hurting peoples feelings or ruining chemistry between friends and teamates... he was brought up to look out for himself.... he just says whatevers on his mind (whether good or bad (99.9% of the time its bad as we all know) but he's no doubt more into himself and proving how great he is..... Chad on the other hand is all about making himself and the team better... his passion for the game and making himself and his teamates the best they can be is unparalleled !!!!!!! People don't realize the time, effort and preperation above all he puts in to make himself put forth his best effort week in and week out.... You can see how that playoff loss effected him last year... he was pretty much an emotional wreck in the locker room afterwards.... I mean who else would put in the time to drive down to see a Colts game with Carson Palmer (on their bye week) to watch them play in an attempt to get a feel for the way Peyton and Marvin do the "little things" together.... We know what the majority of players do on their bye weeks..(Vikings fans know a little more than the rest of us) but you get the point i'm making.... Chad works harder than just about anyone in the game today (props Peyton Manning) and as much as I appreciate what Owens brings to the football field in terms of talent and ability while playing at 110% on every single play, Chad won't go down that road.... He is a jokester but the word around the league is he makes everyone smile, and people respect him.... He will have his blow ups here and there when the team struggles because he wears his heart on his sleeve and wants to win so badly, but I can't see him ever coming close to what Owens and the media have become.... Did he have a problem with Steve Young?.....NO! Get your facts right. And he isn't a lying piece of garbage, he's the most talented WR in the league.

zmanzzzz 1 Posted July 25, 2006 I think you can tell which people are Terrell Owens owners. this site is full of dbags and im not one of them. i dont own to, but i do know how to judge talent. how about learning to speak when spoken to.

football_scooter 0 Posted July 25, 2006 The main difference is that TO is all about TO and CJ is all about getting into the heads of opponents and helping his team win football games. TO is obnoxious and comes off as a selfish basthard, while CJ comes off as playfull and humorous, and his peers and opponents enjoy/appreciate his antics. Even the "Who can stop 85 in 05" bit, those he listed/challenged took it as it was intended - friendly trash talk. None were offended by it. And when his antics backfire on him (such as sending the Browns a case of pepto bismo, and they contained him completely) he tipped his cap to them and gave them props for their performance. There's a world of difference between these too - and it's so apparent/obvious that this topic is completely unecessary.
shovelheadt 71 Posted July 25, 2006 I used to worry about CJ's contract and attitude. Besides the occasional emotional outburst, he seems a different breed from TO http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=5337
Raider 84 29 Posted July 25, 2006 Big difference between the two. Chad didn't hold out or call out every qb and coach he has played with.
jrmbadger 0 Posted July 25, 2006 Keep in mind that I did read somewhere that with his who can cover 85 in '05, he actually did mark yes to a few cornerbacks.... That shows to me that it's good natured fun.

mdubz 0 Posted July 25, 2006 chad seems to do it in fun and with and for the team and the fans. TO has always been and will always be doing everything he does for TO.

WhiteWonder 2,734 Posted July 26, 2006 TO = Jordan of the NFL Love and respect him. hahaha, funniest and possibly most assenine ###### i have ever heard... the jordan of the NFL. Jerry Rice is the Jordan of the NFL and if you wanted to pick a player who is currently playing it sure as hell wouldnt be TO.... guy doesnt know how to be a leader, only blame others for being "poor" leaders... also TO should start winning some Super Bowl rings first
Byars41 0 Posted July 26, 2006 comparing ANYONE to TO is crazy. its the ultimate disrespect to anyone that plays a team sport. in that regard, chad is off the hook (no one is that bad) but the way things are going with him it wouldn't shock me if he, in some way, followed down that murky road. the way i see Chad Johnson is - Overrated. he scored 9 TDs. ok, TJ Houshmanzadeh was close in #'s with that. bascially Chad is a media ###### and because of that he's overrated. he is what Palmer makes him. so for now, with Palmer's status up in the air, he's just blah blah blah, let someone else take him too high. there's plenty of better WRs to get
Rye & Leaf 0 Posted July 26, 2006 Is it really that easy to forget about the play-offs? (i want to forget them too. so much was wrong with the play-offs this year) anyway, it was reported c-johnson was involved in an altercation during half time of the cincy game. Can it be dismissed? roroco 75 Posted July 26, 2006 Similarities between Chad and T.O. - both are black - both play wide receiver I think they both do sit ups too... Although I think Jordan may not do it in his driveway...

When Palmer was carrying the clipboard all year? Is that when Palmer did his magic? I know he didn't make any of the throws that year, but just him being on the team must have been why Chad's numbers that year are comparable to his 2005 numbers right? About 80 less receiving yards, and 1 more TD. OK! I understand if you think he's overrated. But "plenty of better WRs to get"? I'd say 5 tops. My only complaint is that I would like to see a few more TDs. The guy has proven it with 2 completely different QBs. Give him some credit.

Vince44 205 Posted July 26, 2006 TO is the best WR in the NFL. I know it, you know it, the whole damn world DEEP DOWN inside knows it. I think CJ is a Top 5 WR, but I also do think many of his stunts/comments proves to me he is a TO wannabe, so therefore I don't know how much is really him or just a mini TO. CJ is a big fan of TO cause he wants to be like him. The problem is TO is a much bigger, stronger, and more dominate WR than Chad will ever be in his career. He can be a better physical specimen all he wants, he can be a more freakish athlete all he wants.... if he keeps destroying teams and being a me-first player then its all for nothing really. I wouldnt call CJ a mini TO... id call him a better version of TO. He produces, he has funny antics but hes an actual team player who seems to care about winning. roroco 75 Posted July 26, 2006 For anyone saying that everyone knows he is the best WR in the league...I guarentee there are even more people that KNOW he will eventually destroy the Boys. TO has destroyed more teams than he has brought to the Superbowl. He is just a douchbag. If you are going to compare him to any other athelete...I say compare him to Mike Tyson...he is a physical specimen with tons of talent...but due to "Brain Difficiencies" he will never go anywhere again. mattb333 0 Posted July 26, 2006 The guy is a piece of trash. A piece of trash with loads of talent. He doesn't care about winning, he sure has hell ain't Michael Jordan (as Jordan is probably better at baseball and finding his way to meet Bugs Bunny) he could care less about a super bowl ring, he is bad for the NFL, he should be kicked in the groin many many times and the cowboys will regret that decision after week 11 or so. Piece of Low Life Garbage and Mike Tyson is a good person to compare him to.
