Trout_2 0 Posted September 16, 2006 ditto. Â I agree, that is impressive. Don't actually know "Member Number 5" but seems to be someone who was, at the time, on the cusp of something great.
Bratwurst 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Not many people believe this, but I actually suggested UBB to Mike. The message board system he had, you could use any name you wanted. I went by Stuart Pidaso at the time, and someone else stole it. So, as a lifelong Giants Fan, on that fatefull day, I registered Giants Fan. Was, for a long time #56 ... which was sweet, but somehow a few got deleted ... I don't remember Commish at all. And I moved up to #53. Â But, after 20,000 posts over several years ... I have retired Giants Fan. Mostly .... mostly. Â And GFIAFP ... will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN! Â Here was my big, controversial prediction back in the day. When Ditka drafted Ricky Williams. Â "RICKY WILLIAMS WILL BE A BUST!" Â And then there was, "The Giants will win out, get homefield advantage, and make it to the Superbowl." that was laughed at. Â Oh and also, "We can't make the playoffs, I hope the Giants just lose the rest of their games and find a way to get Manning in the draft." Buncha Giants fans were mad at me for saying that. "Collins is the future!" STFU. Â Now this year, I tell people to get Mike Turner and they laugh at me. Â Here's another prediction. I'ts TATUM in Denver. Bratwurst 0 Posted September 16, 2006 You know how I know that? Â Mike Bell is not only a rookie, but he went to Arizona and he wasn't even who people were excited about in Tucson last year. It's Tui time! Let's count all the great players that came out of Arizona in the past 15 YEARS! Â You've got Teddy Bruschi .... and .... Â Well the basketball team is AWESOME! Â Â Kenny Lofton played both Basketball and Baseball ... prolly would play football well too. Â Oh yeah ... Trung Canidate! Â Perfect example ... Trung Canidate ... he was way better than Bell. It's TATUM TIME! Â

Bratwurst 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Member No. 5 Man, that gives me goosebumps!  What was it like watching Jim Brown play? Where was you at when Lennon got shot? Was you amazed when we landed on the moon? Did you really have to walk five miles to school up an incline both ways when you were a kid?  You are the grandfather champ of the boards!!  Did someone say grandfather? Both of mine are/were WW2 Vets. One was a Lieutenant Colnel in the Army. Loved and married one woman he was with for over 50 years, until she died, and I think he's the most honorable man I ever met. My other grandpa is still alive, also with 1 woman almost all his life. He's a horny old bastard now though. It's cute ... to a point. He was not as distinguished. Pretty much got a free boat ride at the end of the war. The other grandfather quit after 19 years because he felt he didn't earn it ... didn't get sent overseas. Yeah ... he's the one with the ironed shirt, standing at attention, he wanted to be there. My father says it's a waste of a career. Quit right before you retire? STUPID!  We kinda look alike ... that handsome face and powerfull presence! I'm a little taller and more muscular. You look at this picture ... and tell me who you think the bad-ass is? They are all smart ... but only ONE is a bad-ass!  Grandpa Army photo  I would assume that was taken somewhere in DC. My greta grandfather pretty much founded the University of Maryland. Go Terps! I've heard I look like him too.  He's the one I was named after ... kinda ... a lot to live up to. And he didn't leave me any money! Just family heirlooms. Stuff I can't sell. No ex-wives or kids (I know of) ... I deserve a really hot, but also cool chick. You should see, my grandmother, Dads side ... STUNNING! As a kid I remember finding a wedding photo and saying, "Nana ... look! You were so pretty!" and my grandfather said, "She still is." He really loved her.  itsatip:  Don't bring up 9/11. Thanks. montana 89 Posted September 16, 2006 present & counted for.....sir! i've been here since 1997 or 1998 - before you had to have a user name & everyone had like 1,000 alias's. LOL! the site has come a long way since, still the best ff site in the world....but unfortunately, we still have the buttholes. i also had another account under "biohazard" but have no idea where that number was (lost password & all that jazz). i was off the site for like a few days back then, came back & it had all changed, you needed email addy, user name, password, etc.... i still see a few of the old bunch on here (using their old names still - meg is an oldie & i remember him from my start on here - he's gotta be one of the founding fathers - LOL!). btw - i started the "homer threads" back in early 2000 where everyone picked a team to report on & they gave stats, weather conditions, local (insider) news from area papers/radio, who to start, projections, & etc.... for some reason it all stopped. the reason why i started that up was that i lived in MONTANA at the time & had no insider info at all because the nearest team was like a 6 hour drive away!
