Electric Mayhem 35 Posted January 4, 2007 I saw a video at the gym last night for Living Colour's "Glamour Boys". I LOVED that band in HS. Will Calhoun was my favorite drummer until I got into Danny Carey (Tool). My cover band in HS did almost that entire album as part of our set: Desperate People Open Letter (to a landlord) Cult of Personality Middle Man Broken Hearts Memories Can't Wait What a great album Then they came along with Time's Up, which also was peppered with killer tracks. Biscuits was good in it's own right for a live/short album Bought Stain, it was ok I guess heard a horrendous cover tune on Collideoscope and decided to pass but man, I do miss the hey-day of that band

Electric Mayhem 35 Posted January 4, 2007 Faith No More I was going to put them as well - but after Angel Dust (one of my favorite albums of all time) they went down hill for me.
phillybear 365 Posted January 4, 2007 I was going to put them as well - but after Angel Dust (one of my favorite albums of all time) they went down hill for me. I'll probably repost this in the other thread too... Faith No More never sold out. They hit it big with their The Real Thing album and their hit single "Epic". For the next 3 albums, they churned out a different sound everytime, continuing an evolution of their music, and an erosion of the fan base they had built up. I respected them for it, and I throughly enjoyed everything they put out. Angel Dust; King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime; and Album of the Year are all solid through and through. That is why they are my favorite band of all time.

I count FNM among my all time favorites becuase every album was great (they even kicked @$$ with Chuck Mosley on vocals ). My list: Athiest Death (RIP - Chuck Schuldiner) FNM Kyuss Morphine (RIP - Mark Sandman) RATM

Manifest Destiny 0 Posted January 5, 2007 My apologies. The acronym I am not familiar with. I must not be as hip/cool as I thought! No worries. I thought they were well known but, who knows...I may have just made them up You may want to be thank ful that you don't know some on the list but you should at least give Morphine a chance. Drumer, bassist, and sax player...not metal in the least.
