Mungwater 597 Posted January 16, 2007 Bears 17 Saints 14 There is supposed to be snow sunday, that favors the bears a bit. Last I checked the line was 2.5, so I think its going to be a good game. The saints D is a little pourous right now, and so is the bears, I think the linebacking corps of the bears is what is going to make the difference.
wiffleball 4,790 Posted January 16, 2007 Yeah, the weather's really gonna be the key. It's hard for any team to come to Soldier in post-season, but harder still for a domer. The worse the weather, the better the odds for Da Bears. Well that, and if Rex Grossman shows up to play...
HTH 95 Posted January 16, 2007 I must say I like the Saints here. They've got a very dynamic offense and the better quarterback. Also, the Bears defense isn't what it was since Harris went down. I like the Saints in a close one. Saints 27 Bears

The worse the weather, the better the odds for Da Bears. Well that, and if Rex Grossman shows up to play... Thats why I'm hoping for some bad weather, let Thomas Jones and Benson run it 50 times, if bad Rex shows up, we're screwed. BTW: Did any of you guys hear Pam Oliver before the game "The Bears snuck into the playoffs this year..." Huh? How can a team that has home field sneak into the playoffs? Chiefs04 0 Posted January 16, 2007 I must say I like the Saints here. They've got a very dynamic offense and the better quarterback. Also, the Bears defense isn't what it was since Harris went down. I like the Saints in a close one. Saints 27 Bears 24 I agree with this. I also think the Saints D will keep it close by playing bad. They didn't look that great at home inside vs Philly. Bears LB's are fantastic. Good point about Harris. N.O. should be able to push the line in short yardage and grind the goal line, forcing the LB's to take some gap responsibility, opening the underneath for consistent 10-15 yard completions off play action, which can further set up a deep ball. Bears safeties are weak without Brown and bite on play action and pump fakes like pop warner kids. Saints D is equally, if not more, questionable so as long as Ramblin Rex can hold on to the ball, should be a close one.... Saints 30 Bears 27....OT(why not)
Boz/BoFan 0 Posted January 16, 2007 Saints baby! Deuce will be the difference, ground and pound with a little Reggie, Colston, Henderson, (Horn maybe), Karney, Miller etc. The boys are loaded. It will be close though. Brees played in this weather at Perdue, shouldnt be a bid deal. Saints - 27 Beers -
GobbleDog 996 Posted January 16, 2007 New coach, new QB, and coming off a horrible season - the Saints have exceeded the wildest of expectations. But if there was ever a game where they'd likely fall apart, this is it.
D_House 0 Posted January 16, 2007 Hope the Saints win it, as I'll be in NO in a couple of weekends. It'd be nice to be there in the midst of Super Bowl excitement.

Big Blue 06 195 Posted January 17, 2007 Saints 31 Bears 21 Saints offense is too fast and has too many weapons for the Bears D to handle. Also, Grossman will revert to his old form.
De Novo 0 Posted January 17, 2007 I can't foresee the Bears winning w/ Grossman at QB. The Saints are 3 times the team the Seahawks are and Chicago barely beat 'em.

gocolts 300 Posted January 18, 2007 I think the Bears lose Big in this one. Rex is gonna kill them trying to keep up with Drew. With Deuce and Bush on top of that, it will get ugly in a hurry.
