Sun, no wind, about 25 deg, decent snow...we had a greta time. My local shop runs a trip from Ft. Lee, NJ to Stratton. $90 gets you breakfast, bus up/back and a lift ticket. RLLD 4,230 Posted January 29, 2007 It depends, I might watch so long as the announcers can keep themselves from slobbering Peytons knob, if not I think I will just turn off the sound, if it looks as though Indy might win I will find something else to do and dog it. KSB2424 3,148 Posted January 29, 2007 I'll be in a bar at Whilster/Blackcomb with a bunch of friends :hyper:  For big games that I really want to watch I hate going to sports bars. I find that I can't focus on the game because everyone is talking to you, fooling around ect. Plus either the HD TV's they have are small or the Huge projection TV's are blurry. If you are gonna make things up, why not give yourself more friends than just 2? I mean, Andrea and Brian? Why not invite others? Can John go? Or how about Mike? Have you invited Mike? Don't forget Sarah with that huge rack.... the reason why people dont understand me here is cause I dont make anything up. And Andrea = sister and best friend... Bryan = her husband and co-best friend....(I hooked them up 19 years ago) They are the only 2 "friends" that I couldn't stand losing... so why do I need to be around any others for the superbowl? I have enough self-esteem/ego to not need to surround myself with others to make me feel good about my standing in the social/friends ranks

Big_Pete 0 Posted January 29, 2007 A Feb. 4th B-day, huh? My b-day fell on the Superbowl one year too... in 2002. Actually, my birthday is Feb 8th. It's mid week, and the only 2 people I care to celebrate with me live 2 hours away, so I'll just go down for the superbowl and celebrate it there... (probably wont be much celebrating of the birthday as much as the super bowl, which is fine be me) my brother who lives with me is the 3rd person I'd want there, but he'll be working, and he sees me everyday (poor bastard)
wiffleball 4,790 Posted January 29, 2007 A local sports bar within stumbling distance of my place starts selling crawfish Friday. So I think I'm going to camp out up at the bar - it's nice, not only big TV's, but individual TV's all around the bar - and eat me about 92 lbs of crawfish. Â Never done crawfish and SB before. Looking foward to it.
RLLD 4,230 Posted January 29, 2007 Contempt of court. Â A few months ago (I believe I briefly mentioned it in one of BEG's "What are you doing this weekend" threads) I was supposed to cooperate and testify before a grand jury. My conscience kicked in and I literally left the feds at the altar. Since the GJ's term was almost up, I was advised by the judge that I would be likely re-subpoenead and my cooperation expected. Â That happened, my atty told them I still wasnt playing, so I got 180 days. If I cooperate, they'll vacate the sentence. The dude they want is supposedly working on a plea, as there are others who are cooperating. My atty filed a motion which will be heard Friday to extend my date to report, based on the plea negotiations. He told me not to hold my breath. Â Anticipating Qs, it's all white-collar stuff - nothing too sexy. Â How are your fellow Enron exec's doing anyways....
Saturday Night Beaver 2 Posted January 29, 2007 party at my house. Friends are bringing the beverages and deserts. Â I am making: Â penne with vodka sauce sesame beef satay shrimp cocktail salsa guacomole pigs in a blanket bruschetta
Recidivist 1 Posted January 29, 2007 How are your fellow Enron exec's doing anyways.... Â Enron was actually a client of mine back in '99 & 2000. I always had to hound them to get paid. It was a good thing I did though. I ended up having to file a $9,000 claim in their bankruptcy proceeding - I got paid $1,800, which is not bad for an unsecured claim. I know other folks who were working on this same project that got stuck for $100,000+. Â The actual enron employee I worked with spent $$$ so obscenely: he leased a new 7-series BMW his first day here, he leased a PH oceanfront condo unit (they sell for $3 or 4M in this building) for almost $20K/month, and his default dining destination was Ruth Chris - all on the company dime. Â It's no wonder they went bankrupt.

Chiefs04 0 Posted January 30, 2007 Wake up Sunday morning, go for a run on the beach, get a massage, put on my Urlacher jersey, leave the hotel and shuttle to Dolphins Stadium for pregame party, watch the Bears win the Superbowl, go to the players/press afterparty, stumble back to the hotel and pass out. kutulu 1,676 Posted January 30, 2007 I think I might collect some money for some superbowl squares...say 50 bucks per person. Then at halftime take off and buy some hookers and coke with the money instead.
