I want to apologize to those I've hurt and offended

What I thought at the time was a funny prank on my part turned into a disastrous nightmare.

 

Back then, my life was spiraling out of control, and I wasn't thinking clearly.

 

Since then, things have not gotten much better. I have some problems that I'm too embarrassed to go into.

 

I'll just say that I've done some things I'm seriously ashamed of, and those around me and who love me are seriously ashamed of, and my little incident involving you guys is just the least of it.

 

I really don't know what else to say but that I'm sorry.

I haven't given the money back. I'd worked out a way to get it back to some people but never followed through.

 

Now I don't have the money. I wish I did but I don't.

 

I'm doing what I can to repair my life and promise to repay those who were so generous to me.

 

Now that I realize the shame that I've brought to myself and others, the pain is almost unbearable.

 

Hopefully all of this is a turning point. I don't see how I could go any lower.
