Brown Eyed Girl 1 Posted March 9, 2007 Don't forget to move your clocks ahead! Daylight Savings Time is here and Spring is around the corner! Friday night - - Dr. appt. right after work for an hour. - Grocery shopping on my way home. - Change to something comfy, pour a glass of wine and throw in the laundry... maybe do some reading. Saturday - Weather is forecasting 80 degrees here! - Wake up early and go for a run and a quick workout. - Take my car to Jiffy-Lube and proceed to get ripped off on an overdue and much needed oil change. - Grab my roller skates and my ipod and go down to the beach and skate from Redondo to Manhattan Beach and back. Saturday night - Sunday - Weather is forecasting 90 degrees! - Cousin is flying back in from San Antonio for a partial week of business. Driving down to Irvine to meet her and a few other cousins for lunch and cocktails.
MDC 8,222 Posted March 9, 2007 Tonight: Secks w/ my girlfriend and go to the movies, either 300 or The Host. Hopefully come back for more secks. Tomorrow: Sleep in, go to the gym, go to work in the afternoon. Not sure about tomorrow night, the GF has to stay in - I'll either be at her place for a movie or going out drinking with friends, slight chance I'll head out to the 'burbs to see a friend's art show at the Media bicentennial (sp?) celebration - live jazz, food, street fair kind of thing. Sunday: Sleep in, possibly back to the gym and/or the office, hoping for more secks.
phillybear 366 Posted March 9, 2007 Drink too much. Watch some DVDs. To get out of doing anything social, I will attempt to catch food poisoning. I have some rancid meat laying on my kitchen floor, currently being molested by roaches. That will be dinner.

Riding up and down the strand, and playing beach vb there is something I miss a lot. Have fun! Tonight: Go home, play with 2 yo daughter, chill with pregnant wife, have a couple of sierra nevada pale ales. TAS 2 Posted March 9, 2007 Practicing for next week's bass tournament in West Lake Toho. I am no fisheman, so forgive the "idiocy" of the question, but how do you practice for fishing? Do you refine your casting technique?
GobbleDog 1,020 Posted March 9, 2007 I am no fisheman, so forgive the "idiocy" of the question, but how do you practice for fishing? Do you refine your casting technique? I'll mostly be looking for bass beds, as well as fishing some old spots to see if they're still holding fish. You don't want to enter a tournament without having fished the lake for a year or so. Hermosa was the place to be.....lots of people hanging out down there, and that was before they converted Pier Ave into a no-car promenade. I probably caught enough rays playing v-ball and being outside those summers to use up all the melanin in my now pasty white body! BTW, why only the first 2 years? My boyfriend at the time (when I was 15 - he was 17) went there. I went to Bishop Montgomery for the first 2 yrs of HS (1982 & 83)... then moved away for 3 years. Came back in '86 and been here ever since. And yes, it was much better back then before the Pier Ave. conversion to the Promenade took place... IMO. Still nice there though. I still probably passed you on the strand, as my family would pretty regularly ride our bikes from Redondo to Hermosa to go to breakfast at Le Petite Cafe (still there??!) on summer days/weekends. Good times. I will have to add that I was probably riding my Red Huffy Dirt Bike with knobby tires before helmets were required (sorry, I had to throw that one in). Hope you had fun....it sounds like the weather cooperated with your plans.
