Anytime you run into an ex, it's a competition.

Recommended Posts

It is not often spoke about, but anytime you run into an ex-girlfriend (or boyfriend, for our female members), both are analyzing the way the other has aged, and both walk away knowing if the are the winner or loser.

In other words, if you ended up putting on fifty pounds, or started growing disturbing facial hair or developed a bunch of moles, your ex is walking away thinking, "Thank GOD I didn't stick with that loser." Conversely, if you've gotten more fit, or maintained a youthful appearance, they walk away a bit sad.

Either way, it is clear who is teh winner or loser.

Keep that in mind when you make those important decisions regarding eating habits, grooming, and exercise.

I'm thinking of going to my H.S. 20 year reunion in a year even though I hate all those douchebags. I just look too good not to go. Plus my yoga teaching MILF of a wife is from the same school and graduating class. :dunno:

Here a little tip:

When you run into an ex, make sure you're travelling at least 50 mph.

That way there's no question who the loser is gonna be. :dunno:

This is true. Also, you and the ex- are both being judged by new partners, if they are present.

It's a great feeling to be seen by an ex- with your slimmer and all around hotter new girlfriend. :dunno:

This is true. But it ain't just about appearance.

My ex was seperated (later divorced) 3 months after marrying the guy who's marriage SHE broke up (while simultaneously 'dating' me), attempted suicide (in an attention whoare kind of way), was put on meds and required to get group and individual therapy. - Oh and BTW is now an admitted medically diagnosed BiPolar freak. (I added the 'freak' part).

Me? I got a new job, and a new, far more stable (aka no DUI's, coke, or late nite trips to the ER) circle of friends.

I win. :dunno:

The key to the ex meeting is to be 100% nonchalant. Don't say you are good, bad, doing whatever. Just basically treat them like you would your waitress at a restaurant. Polite, but not friendly. If you give off that "I couldn't give a rat's ass if I even saw you again" air, you win.

Not in a "I hate you and never want to see you again" way, in a "I'm sorry - who are you again?" sort of way.

And just be content. Stick to the old saying "The best revenge is living well".

meh. I couldn't be more happy with my wife and kids. I wish all my exes the best and still think of most of them as friends. But I don't have any regrets or feel it's a competition when I see them.

My main ex is dating a guy I work a lot with, he has a pretty good job as a regional planning coordinator. But when I see him or her I'm not thinking about my appearance or her appearance, I'm thinkin "man I'm lucky to have ended up where I did with this beautiful family I have here."

:D

I think your super sweet frosted tips would cause you to "immediately lose" these competitions...especially if your ex's new guy was arounf....On the flip side, if my wife and I ran into her ex and he had some sweet frosted tips, I would definitely make a lot of fun of her for dating such a douche...which would probably get on her nerves, so I guess you take that little "victory" with you.

Why take a risk of losing a showdown? When you break up, just cut her focking head off.

If I ever ran into you at a mall with an ex of mine, I would win by virtue of the fact that she sees how you pale in comparison to me, as a man. After that "victory", I would further upping you by pile driving you into the ground and face-focking you in front of your soon-to-be ex.

As you lay in the puddle of blood and piss that leaked from your ###### body, you would be left knowing that you let a frosted-tip douche take away the little manhood you once had.

Have a nice day.

It says nicer and more peaceful, but it doesn't say anything about taking ###### from an unfunny loser. Nice is a two way street.

Yeah, poor Newb. I'm upset because I didn't get invited to something that I have no idea about. You're striking comedy gold, today.

You should really come around more often. You're making a ton of sense.

Also, please invite me next time. I'm not sure my ego could take missing out on it again.

Funny you should say that.....

The reason I created this thread was because of an encounter I had on Sunday.

As I was picking out pears in the produce section of the supermarket, an ex of mine walked up to me and gave me hell. She said I looked right at her when I enetered the store and didn't recognize her.

We went out for three years in the late 80's-early 90's.

I told her I must have been day dreaming because I didn't see her. The reason being, was because she now weighs a bit more and has her hair short and wears glasses. She didn't look ugly, but she was no longer a knockout.

Bottom line is, you could tell she felt bad and was a bit defeated while we spoke. She mentioned twice that she just ran out quick and didn't have time to "get ready". I told her that I did the same thing, and she commented that I never change.

I left that encounter knowing I won that battle, and prepared for my next one. :dunno:

Wait. I must have misinterpretted that thread, the other day.

Didn't it say that they are accepting applications?

As I have in the previous three years, I passed on applying. I have nothing against any of those guys, but I have no desire to visit a messageboard that I would have to apply for. If I want to go to a fun board with a small amount of close-knit members, I can visit The Danzone. And they don't even have an infiriority complex. It's open to everyone.

So, for some reason, Sigep seems a bit disappointed that I, once again, declined the invite to apply.

Sorry, chief. I hope you get over it. It wasn't personal.

So, please set the record staright......

If you applied and were rejected...you're upset because you couldn't get into the great forum called The sanctuary.

also,

if you didn't apply, and never have, you're also upset that you didn't get in.

Holy crap, I thought you guys were full of yourselves before, now you're telling people that they want to get into your little club.

 Hilarious.

SigEp the last couple months you seem to have been acting a lot cooler than you used to be. Why did you revert back? Are you afraid the higher ups at the other board are watching?

I never got highlights or had my tips frosted. What I did was shave my head with a #1 or #2 and then bleach it. So when it grew out, I had frosted tips.

I don't know if I won the thread or not, but I do know that Sigep embarrassed himself. How pompous can a guy be? Hell, I'll bet that even the other Sanctuary members think he's an asswipe.

I honestly can't remember another Sigep post, although I've seen the name before. So, I don't know if he's been "cool" or not in the past. But to answer your question, yes, he's trying to impress the higher-ups.

That's what gets me. I'm not calling sigep or anybody else out for that matter, but you see the ones that you never see posting anything, unless it's to knock what someone else is posting or tell how big of a dumbass someone else is. Yet they never seem to offer anything up themselves or throw anything out there that anybody can ever remember them talking about.

I'd rather see edjr throw out 25 posts about nothing than listen to someone only post negative remarks about what someone else posts
