Lost a tough game last week...Reggie Brown screwed me again.

This week, have some tough choices.

First at RB: Scoring - PPR, 1pt every 5yd rushing, 10yd receiving, 15 yd passing. All TD's are 6.

I have:

Westbrook vs Det

T Henry @ Jax

L Jordan vs Cle

C Brown @ NO

M Lynch @ NE

I need to start 2. Thinking about benching Henry for Jordan but I don't know if that's a good idea or not. Henry doesn't seem to find the end zone and while he puts up 125 yards a week, I think Jax will come to play. Am I overthinking this one? Westbrook is almost a sure start in my opinion.

Chris Brown ran for 174 vs the Jags! Chris Brown!! I'd stay with Henry, he has two 100 yd games (on pace to get the 2200 that he predicted). He'll find the endzone this week!! Westy, yep a no brainer, must start. Jordan is doing well, but I'd keep him on the bench...even vs the Browns.

WR start 3:

TO @ Chi

C Chambers @ NYJ

D Branch vs. Cin

R Brown vs. Det

I Bruce @ TB

B Marshall @ Jax

B Jones @ NO

Owens for sure. The rest of the group is tough. Bruce had 20 yds...then 145! Branch, 0 yds then 122! Marshall has been consistant. Chambers is looking very good. Reggie Brown is okay. Brandon Jones sucks....no better way to put it.

After seeing how the Hawks got the ball to Branch and seeing how well the Bengals stopped the Browns it's hard not go with him this week. Chris Chambers is targeted alot and has done pretty well thus far. He seems to be the focal point of the offense.....now if he could just find the endzone. I think these two would be the two I'd go with after Owens. I'm a huge Marshall and Bruce fan, but for this week I'd run with Chambers and Branch because they seem to be getting the ball more.

I don't know which 3 to start out of this bunch.

Thanks for your help.

hey cuse, another question. i'm thinking of dealing boldin, cutler, calvin johnson, and deshaun foster for roy williams and lamont jordan. the way i look at it is, i'd be upgrading boldin to roy williams and upgrading deshaun to lamont jordan ... cutler is inconsequential because i already have vince young and kitna and could just pick up schaub or garcia off the waivers and calvin johnson, while he's great, i only planned on using during a bye week or maybe once or twice depending on matchups. so, given my team's lineup, is this a good trade or not for me? thanks.

I'm needing a 4th RB and the best available are Chatman or Selvin. Which do i pick-up and who do i drop? Curtis, Marshall, Clayton, Dallas D (Using Raiders atm), or Grossman my back-up QB and bye week fill-in for Brees.

Also, would you recommend picking up Pennington as a back-up to Brees over Grossman. Guess i hoped for some of those big weeks. Like Brees's bye against DET.

I would not pick up Pennington.....I think Clemens will end up with that job. Clemens has a much better arm. He can make alot of throws that Pennington can't!

As for RB, Chatman is a nice option. He gets plenty of playing time and receptions. You at least know there is a chance he'll score or get decent yards. There is no guarantee that Young will do anything. If you were going to drop anyone I would drop Grossman. He's terrible (I know, I know....I have him on my team, but it's a fourteen team league). Griese is looking better and better each week! Only drop him if there are 5-6 QB's on the waiver wire though, you don't want to get stuck with no QB on Brees' bye week.

Thanks

My Sjax and L Jordan for

L Johnson and W Mcgahee

6pt Td's 25 yds Rush/Rec 1pt.

I would rather have Johnson and McGahee in that group. Lamont looks pretty good so far and Jackson will turn it around. LJ has a great schedule for our playoffs and McGahee is going to get more and more touches as the season goes. I think the opportunities and the schedule favors LJ and Willis.

Wide Receiver Help (Please)

These are 2 independent transactions:

* B. Berrian (CHI) for B. Marshall (DEN)

* S. Holmes (PIT) for W. Welker (BUF)

Brandon Marshall and Wes Welker are both actually available as a free agents. I was thinking of dropping Bernard Berrian and picking Brandon Marshall up and dropping Santonio Holmes and picking up Wes Welker. This would be for a flex player on my team or a WR replacement if one of my studs goes down like Andre Johnson did this past weekend (fingers crossed he recovers). Tough call on both. Thoughts?

Here's my lineup in a 10-team league. (It's sick, at least I think so, and I drafted in the sixth place out of 10)

Starters

QB Tony Romo

RB Joseph Addai

RB Willie Parker

WR Andre Johnson

WR Randy Moss

TE Vernon Davis

WR/R B. Berrian

K Robbie Gould

DST Pittsburgh

Bench

QB Brett Farve

RB M. Jones Drew

RB L. Betts

WR R. Curry

WR S. Holmes

I think you've answered your own question! I agree with what you said. If you have Kitna and Young you are good at QB. Boldin and CJ to Roy is a good deal. For the reason you stated....CJ is a bye week fill in and Roy is an upgrade over Boldin. While Cutler has looked desent, he's perfect trade bait for this exact scenerio!! I'm not huge on Lamont, but it looks like he's back to his form from two years ago under Kiffin....definite upgrade over Foster.

Seems like you already have it figured out just wanted confirmation that your "theory" should work and I 100% agree with what your thinking!

hahaha, yeah, basically, although part of me feels like i could command better value from calvin if he has another good week. and i'm not completely sold on lamont either, but the only other back the guy has is thomas jones and i'd rather have lamont than him. well, he also has ward, but i like lamont better than either of those. he also has s-jax.

How do I know who to start week to week between

Ray Lewis and Kieth Bulluck?

Tackle Solo (2)

Tackle Assist (1)

Sack (5)

Interception (5)

Fumble Force (5)

Fumble Recovery (5)

Touchdown (6)

Safety (5)

Pass Defended (1)

Block Kick (3)

If I should just start one over the other every time I think I'll try and trade one or drop one after the BYE weeks.

Thanks.

IDP's are tough. This one is especially tough. You have Ray Lewis who will get plenty of tackles and is a great playmaker. Bullock is in on every tackle! There really isn't a good answer on this one. When it comes to IDP's match-ups can be trown out the window. You never know when a player is going to get a pick or score a TD.....it's tough. I'd go with Lewis most of the time just because he's such a playmaker. But if you want consistant points Bullock is the better.

Unfortunatly they are both great but score points different ways. It's kind of like would you rather have Javon Walker who will get you consistant 14-18 points every week or Lee Evans who will get you 5 points then 35 points.....it just depends if you like to go for broke or if you like the safe route.

I'd rather have Garcia over Grossman. Garcia is the only starter in TB and he will not lose his job. He has better options around him as well. Grossman just continues to dissappoint.

I expect the Saints to really establish the run this week with Deuce. They're tying to be too cute this year and it's not working. Look for them to pound away and let the big plays open up after they earn respect on the ground. Bush is at his best when McAllister is doing well.

MJD has a tough match-up vs Denver. He'll be covered by Denvers LB's (in passing situations) and they're a pretty quick group. I think he'll have a tougher timet than Bush this week.

Reggie Bush seems the most likely to bust out this week.

As much as I like Brandon Marshall I don't think you can drop Holmes for him. I think they'll end the year with similar stats. Marshall will continue to post decent numbers every week and Holmes will have some big games and below average games. I would drop Curry for Marshall. I like Curry but, not as much as Marshall! Marshall is a much better situation over Curry.

Welker has done well, but I don't think he'll be consistant enough to warrant dropping Curry or Holmes. Historically the Pats spread the ball alot...I expect Maroney to be the star this weekend.

I like the offer. Jackson will bounce back, but you're getting two great second tier backs and a top tier wr!! Ronnie Brown is not very good and he's collecting dust on your bench. You upgrade your rb depth and your starting wr trio.

Don't give up Edge and Wayne for Moss!! Moss has been lights out so far, but Edge and Wayne will blow him away week to week. Wayne is right there with Moss....it's a close trade with just those two! Throwing in Edge you're shorting yourself bigtime!

I would take some of your rb depth or wr depth....hell both, and upgrade your te or d position. I'm not sure how you have such good depth (keeper, dynasty or small league?) but you should be able to pull in Gates, Chicago, Pats....I know you haven't listed who your te or D is, but I'll assume you don't have top tier at those positions, but with your depth....you could.

Pick one D/ST and tell me why please.

KC at home against the Vikings or

OAK at home against the Browns

Thanks in advance.

Cleveland is an offensive avalanche....stay the hell away from them  I don't know if they stole signs, took HGH, made a deal with the devil.....whatever, but I would stay away from them at least this week until we find out what's going on there.

Minnesota will prolly be without Jackson which is too bad, he was good for a couple of ints!! The offense is bad. Peterson might run for 200, but that would only give Minnesota 220 total yards. Their passing game is horrendous. KC is a bad defense, but should fair well vs Minn.

Take KC

I'd take that deal. You get Caddy who is the everydown back in TB for a rb that will be sporatic and isn't the everydown back. Taylor gets that carries and G. Jones gets the TD's. MJD gets the stuff that's left over. Caddy looked good last week. With Garcia chuckin the ball all over it will greatly increase Caddy's value.

Delhomme is a great starter this year. He has the best wr in football and a very, very easy schedule!!

Great deal for you.

This is a close but downgrading at rb and wr aren't worth it. Romo is very good and has great weapons around him, but going from Boldin to Jackson may not be alot, but you have to take into account DJax injury history. T. Jones will get going as soon as he's close to 100%. MJD will be in a rbbc all year. His bad games will outweigh his good games.

You could afford to give up TJones because you have good depth, but you really need to wait until KJ and Jacobs get back and see how they do. KJ will be back this week but only get about 20 plays. Jacobs will prolly come back next week. I'd wait until they get back before you make any moves.

Lynch has looked very good. He's patient and runs hard. He runs like a seasoned vet! I would definitly want Marshall. McDonald has done well so far, but I don't see it keeping up. Too many better options in Detroit. Basically the guy knows that Brown isn't very good and wants to upgrade. Throwing in a #4 wr isn't gonna get it done. I'm pretty high on Marshall. That definitly isn't asking too much. Getting Brown and McDonald is offering too little.

Here's my dilemna/issue...my running backs are -

1. Steven Jackson (failed me for the first two weeks but definite keeper and hopefully will pick up steam just like last year).

2. Maurice Jones Drew (also failing me)

3. Julius Jones (bench) - a bust due to Marion Barber

4. Tatum Bell (bench) - a bust with Kevin Jones returning (possibly)

Sammy Morris and Deshawn Wynn are both available in my league and I have a #5 waiver order so I could likely get one of them (I might lean toward Sammy Morris because Vernan Morency is due back for the Packers sometime). While they're both #2 backs just like Julius Jones and Tatum Bell...would you drop either of those two in favor of one of the new guys? I'm not sure but there is a rumor that MJD may be hurt or got Xrays or something so now I'm in more trouble. I'm 0-2 yet have the 4th highest point total and am going up against the #1 team...in other words I'm likely to fall to 0-3 before playing easier opponents and starting a winning record. I need better running backs. I'm willing to help you out too if you need it.

Also, in another league I just noticed that Cadillac Williams, Warrick Dunn, LenDale White, DeShaun Wynn, and Sammie Morris are still available. Who would you try to pick up?

In league two if Caddy is out there....pick him up. I don't care about league size there should never be an everydown #1 back on waivers!

League One. Tatum is in deep trouble. Last year Jones did quite well in the Detroit pass happy offense and Bell isn't doing anything....mainly because he just isn't good. Sammy Morris or Wynn won't help you. Morris is behind Maroney and won't offer you much. Morency will be back to take the job and Wynn will be a waste as well. Can you get KJ? Of your options......I don't like them.

I haven't heard anything about MJD and x-rays?

The confidence in Bell is dwindling away. Portis is starting to take back over in Washington. There are three running backs and a fullback getting carries in GB!

Throw Bell out. I believe now is the time to trade him for anything you can...upgrade kicker..anything! Wynn is the flavor of the week, but going against SD.

Betts still sees plenty of playing time. Giants haven't been able to do anything this year on defense, so I'd run with Betts. He's a decent player who gets receptions and carries. He has a much better chance of getting 60-70 yards and a TD this week.

I can offer Bush/Housh for Gore/Evans or i can offer Bush/Gates for SJax/Cooley...would you do them? I think Evans will eventually heat up, he is obviuosly the weakest link. Meaning I can get him low. Thoughts? Also, I think this is the better trade. But do you think offering Bush/Gates for Sjax/Cooley is giving up too much?

If you can get Gore and Evans I would do it. Last year Evans started out terrible. If you've seen any of the highlight, Losman is just missing him! For whatever reason there timing is off. They'll get it down and Evans will put up big numbers again. Gore is solid. I love Housh and his consistancy. Evans won't be as consistant but will have much bigger games.

I don't like the Jackson/Cooley trade. Gates is too good. Cooley is good, but not even near as good as Gates.

So I had a waiver claim in to pick up Brandon Jacobs and drop Brandon Jackson and the claim just went through. Looking at my team (in my sig), I am loaded at RB, maybe even too loaded considering we can only start 3 at max per week and I will rarely if ever bench LJ or Henry. Obviously I'm not that strong at receiver, so I would maybe like to upgrade there although I do think I have a couple nice sleepers currently. What I really want to do is sacrifice some of my depth to load up on some studs.

Another thing is that I am only carrying one QB,TE,K and DEF so I need to free up a few roster spots in order to pick these players up as needed.

Here are a few trades I am considering making:

A. Boldin + L. Jordan for B. Westbrook

If I made this trade, I would have 3 certified STUDS (ppr league) at RB though I would definitely take a hit at WR by losing Boldin. If I did this trade, it would still leave me with Brandon Jacobs and Thomas Jones on the Bench to possibly swing a deal later to upgrade at WR.

T. Jones + J. Jones for L. Evans

Trying to buy low here, and especially if I make that first deal, I'm going to need to pick up a WR. I think the L. Evans owner would be willing to trade, hoping that could get it done. T. Jones probably wouldnt see the field on my team.

Br. Marshall + T. Jones for J. Walker

As high as I am on Marshall, I think this would be a good trade to the J. Walker owner who is hurting for RB depth. He has T. Bell as his #2 RB right now

Oh great wise one Cuse - can you help save my 0-2 squad??

Here's the deal - it's a ppr performance league - 1/per 10 rec/rushing, 1 pt per rec, all td's =6.

Start: QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 Flex, 1 TE, K, D/ST

QB's - VYoung, Losman

RB's - Addai, LJordan, MJD, RnBrown, Foster, Betts, KvJones

WR's - LEvans, Rg Brown, Bennett, Curry

TE - VDavis

K-Stover

D/ST- Miami

I am pretty much set/stuck with VY at QB but DAnderson, TGreen, McCown, Garrard, JCampbell are all available. I will need to add one of them and drop Losman.

Obviously Addai and Jordan at RB every week ......then it gets ugly!!

Shaun McDonald (tied for 16th best in my league) is available and I want him on my ppr team (Kitna loves him) - need to drop Bennett or RgBrown or Betts(who it will probably be).

Plan to p/u EJohnson or HMiller and play him ahead of VDavis until he wakes up so I am dropping Losman for him meaning I will need a back QB again.

MJD, Rn Brown, Foster, are killing me, as well as the other 2 week busts (Evans, RgBrown, VDavis).

Miami D is ranked 28th in my league. Will they wake up? Will Ginn Jr. return a couple to the house this year? Or would you replace Mia with one of the many available higher ranked D/ST's like Hou (2nd), Indy(6th), or Oak(5th)

Many K's also available ranked much high than Stover (including Folk, Hanson, Reed, & Akers)

I am in a must win this week with this lineup:

QB-VYoung@NO

RB-Addai@HOU

RB-JordanvsCLE

WR- need to start two between Evans, RgBrown, Curry, McDonald, Bennett. My brain says start Curry vs Cle and McDonald @Phil. My gut says Evans and RgBrown finally show up this week.

Flex is between RnBrown who has a nice history against the Jets, MJD vs porous Broncos run D, and Foster who has a nice hisotry vs Atl. My brain says RnBrown based on his history vs Jets and my gut says MJD vs poor bronco run d.

What would you do with this mess oh great one.......

Sammy Morris or Wynn won't help you. Morris is behind Maroney and won't offer you much. Morency will be back to take the job and Wynn will be a waste as well. Can you get KJ? Of your options......I don't like them.

I haven't heard anything about MJD and x-rays?

Who should I drop in League 1 to pick up Wynn or Morris (looks like Wynn at this point)? I'm looking at either Owen Daniels or one of my IDPs...I have Lance Briggs and DeMeco Ryans. What's your opinion?

In League 2...how would you rank those other running backs on the waiver wire...right now I'm looking at

1. Cadillac Williams

2. Warrick Dunn

3. LenDale White

4. Wynn

5. Morris

I'm #6 waiver wise so I may or may not get Williams if others are paying attention. I'd be dropping Bell.

Hey Cuse,

I have a semi-tough matchup this week and need a second opinion on my W/TE Flex spot.

With all the recent Andre Johnson news going on, and now that he will sit out week 3, is it pretty safe to assume Owen Daniels will be the go-to guy for Houston?

My options for the spot are (somewhat lackluster):

O.Daniels @ Ind

D.Northcutt @ Den

J.Jurevicius @ Oak

A.Battle @ Pit

I'm pretty sure Daniels is the smartest play, but I started him Week 1 and got burned with him. ...just need a 2nd opinion.

Also, is DeShawn Wynn too early to consider...as a flex?

Thanks

Do i take the chance and start Evans again this week? I'm thinking they could be down big early and have to throw to try and catch up. Deep down i'm worried about him being shut down again. I could start Curtis against Det. 11 targets, but McNabb was throwing high. I could see a shoot out.

Evans or Curtis

What's up Cuse9 ? I got 2 questions for you this week.

1. Which QB should I pickup ? all TD's 6points

These are the best available.

Jeff Garcia

David Garrard

Derek Anderson

Trent Green

please pick one

2. Which RB should I start with Rudi Johnson ?

Reggie Bush vs Titans at New Orleans

Derrick Ward vs Redskins at Washington

Deshawn Wynn vs Chargers at Green Bay

Please pick one thanks and goodluck!!
