Totino's frozen "Party Pizza"

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I've had these before. They are cheap, and have very little cheese or toppings, but they cook up quickly (even from frozen) and the "original crisp crust" does crisp up pretty nice.

So, they are on sale right now for 80 cents each, if you buy 10. Small pizza, but still a decent meal.

They don't have vegetables ... there is a "3 cheese" but I never buy that kind. I got 3 different kinds, Peperoni, Combo (sausage and pepperoni) and 3 Meat. They all pretty much taste the same. As a matter of fact, I don't think I could tell the difference in a blind taste test between the combo or the 3 meat. The 3 meat, also has 2 less grams of fat than the combo or the peperoni.

It's actually pretty stunning ... the 10.7 oz combo has 40g that's right 40 GRAMS of FAT ... and almost no cheese. Of that 9g is saturated fat, and 8 grams of trans fat. You got 30mg of cholesterol, 740 calories ... and 940mg of sodium! That's almost 40% of your daily value of sodium.

Of course I jazz it up, parmesean (more fat) and garlic salt (more sodium). And at 80 cents ....

I'm gonna give my highest rating ever .... 4 and a half stars. It's actually a decent meal, for 80 cents.

At a buck ... gonna hafta drop it to 4 stars. Anything over a buck, 3 stars ... but for 80 cents ... for a meal? It's the crispy crust that put's it up over the top. IMO, better than a self rising, or standard frozen crust ... it's flaky and crispy, and just the right size for 1 person.

FYI, I put it right on the rack at 300 .... the directions say 450 ... but my oven toasts that bottom pretty quick and then I turn the oven off and let it cook through, so the bottom doesn't burn. 450 will burn it.

totino's is my least favorite pizza.

I always make fun of everyone who eats totino's.

at 80cents, I'd rather have 1 bean burrito from taco bell and call it a dinner over that piece of sh1t wannabe pizza :barf:

Hey ... I graduated from college in 1994. Not quite 20 years ago ... and I weigh roughly 15 lbs more than I did 20 years ago. Not bad for 20 years. It's the hair loss and peanus shrinkage that bugs me.

It's crap ... far as pizza goes ... but for 80 cents ... 4 1/2 stars. Put it in the record books. You can get 2 "tacos" at any Jack in the Box for $1.07 ... rather have a Totino's "Party Pizza".

That should be their slogan ... "You could pay like 27 cents more, for worse food."

I'd rate Cup O' Noodles just a little below there at 33 cents each, 4 stars. Marachuan "Instant Lunch" ... even at 33 cents, 3 1/2 stars. Cup O' Noodles is better.

Along the same lines ...

There used to be a sushi place in NYC called Fukuda. Real, actual chefs name. Female sushi chef .... which is unheard of in Japan, so she came to New York. I've been to all the top Sushi places in NYC ... Fukuda was not cheap at all, but it was the best sushi in town. Not the most expensive ... but the best. I'd go as far as saying it's the best food I ever had. Fukuda is gone though.

There is a Sakura ... on west 12th, just west of 8th Ave ... affordable, high quality sushi ....yer still looking at like $25 a person for a meal. I'd give that place 4 1/2 stars too.

But that's $25 vs. 80 cents. If it's all free ... oh yeah, Sakura is at least 25 times better ... but for the price ... Sakura might still take the edge because they know me, and give me free stuff.

I'd eat sushi at least 5 times a week if I could afford it (and I knew a good place in Phoenix).

There was this place out on Long Island near the (NVM) Coliseum called Fukadaya (real name) and had $25.00 all you can eat specials - had an awesome garlic sauce yummy.

Went outta business though - go figure.

YES I posted in a GFIAFP threada - sorry.

I'm not making a joke.

Fukuda .... that was the chefs name.

She was talented, too. I think she went back to Japan. Might be ... she proved she was good enough. Was the best female Sushi chef in Manhattan .... EVAH!!!!

I used to love me some Totino's canadian bacon pizza. Hell, it's quick, cheap, does't taste bad - works for me.

Sadly, can't find that pizza anymore...

You never lived in New York. All you do is tell lies. How many famous NBA players did you have classes with? How could someone who claims he is smart go bankrupt? Tell me more about your ancestors. I'm really curious how such a fokin idiot could have evolved.

You go to taco bell then. I wouldn't eat at a taco bell for anything. The people hate their jobs and you probably eat a lot of boogers, toenails, bugs, and sh1t, if you eat at a taco bell.

Yeah, check out a Taco Bell in the summer. Notice like 50 fly strips LOADED with flys...not to mention all the flys buzzing around your head. You'll never eat a Chalupa again.

Oh, and HOT POCKETS! :dunno:

Maruchan ... Instant Lunch ... Roast Chicken flavor

AKA noodle soup in a cup

12g fat, 6g saturated

No trans fat.

1,330 MG of sodium!

37g carbs, 2g fiber, 2g sugar

Still rather have a Tostino's, even if it costs 3 times as much.

Ok .. ALMOST 3 times as much.
