Borat33 17 Posted November 26, 2008 I have other options but I like this fat slob's chances tomorrow. Detroit D s a damn sieve and I read that Fisher wants to get back to running the ball. I think the Whale might blubber his way to 50 yards and 2-3 scores. This game will prob get ugly so he can rack up some garbage points in the 2nd half. Who else is Riding the Orca to victory? titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted November 26, 2008 I'll be rolling with the fat piece of sh!t. Hopefully, Madden keeps the turducken hidden until the game is over.
Wheaties 0 Posted November 26, 2008 I am very torn about starting Lendale White this week. I am definitely starting Chris Johnson, but also have Matt Forte (can only start 2 RBs). I'm wondering if the Lions game will be a repeat of the Chiefs game a few weeks ago. CJ - 168 yards and 1 TD LW - 149 yards and 3 TDs I started both Titans (over Forte) that week and scored 54 points between them. Forte is playing at MIN... one of the best rush defenses in the league.
cooolbreeze 0 Posted November 26, 2008 I could start Lendale or....I have McGahee up against CIN. Which way would you go?
cooolbreeze 0 Posted November 26, 2008 boy, I don't know if I would sit forte. He's nasty.

When I said that I had crappy options, I was talking about those two focks. I also have Portis going against the Giants, so I am pretty well screwed.

Think he had like 13 pts, which wasnt bad, but Whitesure payed off. Im rolling w/ Forte though this time. He's become unsittable IMO.

I agree that Forte is close to unsittable, but this kind of situation definitely warrants a second thought. The last game against MIN was at Soldier Field. He did score 12 points in a standard scoring system: 20 carries - 56 rushing yards 2 receptions - 17 receiving yards 1 TD I think that's about the upper limit that Forte will get against MIN this week. The game is on the road this time and MIN is very tough at home. The Vikings have only allowed 18 offensive TDs and 246 points against all year, whereas the Lions have allowed 18 RUSHING TDs and 346 points against. That's a big difference. Unless Fisher intentionally slights Lendale for his behavior/comments, then I don't see how he does not outscore Forte this week (only).
rotisserieking 82 Posted November 26, 2008 Unless Fisher intentionally slights Lendale for his behavior/comments, then I don't see how he does not outscore Forte this week (only). And therein lies my biggest concern about him. Right now I have him starting in the flex spot over Grant and Housh.
Casey71 0 Posted November 26, 2008 I have Portis. Too crazy to start him over the Whale?

Quality post bro! Hopefully they tell him for every TD he gets, there's a turkey in the lockerroom for him. Regretfully, he's about the best option I have as I don't/can't trust Westy to do anything with Eagles current philosophy of playing to lose the game. Borat33 17 Posted November 26, 2008 You guys like this Whale over Slaton? I am leaning towards tubby myself! GO LANDWHALE!!!

sprewell43 0 Posted November 26, 2008 You guys are crazy rolling with this fat slob, coach only gave this obese piece of crap one carry last week. They are going up against an improved Lions D (barely improved), but do you think this worhtless slab of blubber will get more yardage/TDs than Portis? Y'all crazy. zaurg 0 Posted November 26, 2008 I've started the LandWhale every week this year except 4 and 5 when he played MIN & BAL. He's been downright useless the past few weeks while I've had Ted Ginn on the bench (flex position we're talking about here) LandWhale vs DET Ginn vs STL I kinda want to start both of them. Kilroy 0 Posted November 26, 2008 I'm expecting at least 1 TD and at least 40 yards rushing from LenDale this week. I think he'll probably punch it in twice though. Fisher's said all week he wants to get back to running more often and who better to do that against than the piss poor Lions? The Titans should stuff it down their throat all day. I think Johnson and White will both produce.

They are going up against an improved Lions D (barely improved), but do you think this worhtless slab of blubber will get more yardage/TDs than Portis? Y'all crazy. There are reasons why he only got 1 carry last week. The NYJ interior defensive line (like MIN/BAL/NYG) is extremely good at clogging the middle and stuffing inside runners like White. Also, the NYJ got up pretty big after halftime and TEN abandoned the run to go vertical. The Lions are the worst rush "defense" in the league... allowing 170 rush ypg and 18 rushing TDs. This situation is very similar to the Kansas City game in Week 7. It wouldn't surprise me to see the Titans cram it down the Lions throat all game. It helps the cause that the Titans lost to the Jets, so they will be looking to re-define their dominance this week.

Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted November 27, 2008 I'm playing him over Marshawn this week. Obviously I'm buying into the hype of the Tennessee recommitment to the running game, the Lion's terrible rush D, and a huge bounceback for Lendale after all the crap that went down since Sunday. dreadlocks34 0 Posted November 27, 2008 I have to choose between him and Ricky as a second back in a 16 team league must win game. One has the munchies and the other has buffetitis. Fitting tomorrow I guess.

SaintsInDome2006 783 Posted November 27, 2008 Just the post I was looking for. On Thanksgiving Day you get to look like a Land Whale on your couch while also watching one run for 2-3 TD's on your team. Not sure if I'll go there over LJ, Pierre, Dunn, Hillis (well maybe over him), Mewelde, and SJax (if he returns), but I might and it sure would be fun to watch big ol' Len steamroll his way through the Lions towards the turkey table. He's gotta be one of the guys eating the turkey leg at the end of the game, right? Are 2-3 TD's possible for the big guy???
mrgymrat 0 Posted November 27, 2008 Yeah I think Lenwhale will be part of the plan this week. The biggest thing that I saw this week was how quickly Jeff Fisher defused Lenwhale's comments about not playing and not making it an issue. Can't believe that he would do that, declare all week that the Titans were going to recommit to the run and then turn around and screw over Lenwhale again (and have to listen to his comments about not getting the ball for a 2nd straight week). Roll with White as the Titans feast upon the Lions.
sprewell43 0 Posted November 27, 2008 Anyone here worried that the Whale will stay beached and the rook will get some carries (what's his name, Chris Henry?)
EAwer 1 Posted November 27, 2008 PPR leagues: LenWhale or Regina Bush (claims to be playing thsi week, but who knows) LenWhale or R Grant (has been playing well at home, and Car def is overrated)
Wheaties 0 Posted November 27, 2008 Chris Johnson is going all out in the first quarter. At this rate, Lendale could get 3Q worth of carries.

Markman 0 Posted November 27, 2008 Don't post often but this thread convinced me to start him rather than McClain and boy am I happy I also had Ten. Def going so I put up a solid 42 pts.
