Strike 6,095 Posted February 25, 2009 Obama opened his mouth. Seems like every time he or one of his cronies does that the market goes down. Can someone get him to STFU please??
NewbieJr 541 Posted February 25, 2009 Bush should hold a speech. The economy seemed to respond real well to him.
Strike 6,095 Posted February 25, 2009 Bush should hold a speech. The economy seemed to respond real well to him. Percentage of Presidency wise Bush is killing Obama about 90% to 0% so maybe he should.

NewbieJr 541 Posted February 25, 2009 Percentage of Presidency wise Bush is killing Obama about 90% to 0% so maybe he should. So the economy starts a downward spiral a year before Obama takes office and he's supposed to turn everything around in a month, huh? Classic.
NewbieJr 541 Posted February 25, 2009 BLS, it's real easy to support a guy who had zero chance of winning and then turn around a criticize everything the true winner does. Way to go out on a limb.
Strike 6,095 Posted February 25, 2009 So the economy starts a downward spiral a year before Obama takes office and he's supposed to turn everything around in a month, huh? Classic. Nope, but fixing a spending, policy, and regulation problem by simply SPENDING like there's no tomorrow isn't going to fix the problem. Anyone with half a brain knows this and is concerned about the burden we're placing on future generations.

What's a shame is that a guy who has good ideas and speaks truthfully had no chance while a con man with very little experience and bad ideas actually won. The dumbing down of America continues. Way to go out on a limb. Look man...all I'm saying is his speech last night didn't give ANY confidence to the market. Everytime he opens his mouth the market tumbles a little bit more. Have YOU ever considered SPENDING your way out of debt?? Please...answer the question with a rational response. While you're thinking of something to say I'm off to shoot a bunch of crows for you. NewbieJr 541 Posted February 25, 2009 You know what, I just looked at all the attendees of this thread. I don't belong here. This is the bitter Obama-hater thread. You guys take care. I won't interupt you whine-fest.

Strike 6,095 Posted February 25, 2009 Yeah, the Slobber on Obama's knob thread is further down the list. Enjoy yourself. I'll gladly say something positive about him when someone can point out ONE campaign promise he's kept. He hasn't kept ONE yet he's broken a bunch. But I should be kneeling down and praying to him like Newbie? Not likely.
NewbieJr 541 Posted February 25, 2009 Brother, you're going to be hard pressed to find a POSITIVE Obama thread. He has over a 60% approval rating. Are you that uninformed? It's just that his supporters don't feel a need to start a thread every time the dude sneezes. Of course his supporters aren't starting threads We aren't whiny and we aren't hoping that America fails so that we can yell "told ya so" on a football messageboard. Brother I watch/read more news everyday than probably anybody on this bored. I honestly bet I spend 10 hrs a day reading and watching various news channels (no, I'm not a Fox chronie). But whatever...it's not a 'pissin' contest. It's counterproductive anyway. I would like to know your HONEST opinion/argument on how you think you can spend yourself out of debt though. I still haven't heard a compelling argument....and to be honest...I'll keep an open ear, because I am always open to a rational discussion.
KSB2424 3,174 Posted February 25, 2009 I've actually grown to like the guy. He is a cool cat. Very good speaker that can rub elbows with the best of them. I just wish either A.) he wasn't so damn liberal and in line with the Ried's and Pelosi's of the world. Or B.) he was POTUS but the Repubs controlled the house That way there was a check and balance. As of right now we are on a liberal, pork infested, highway to hell. And the markets know it.

There's no doubt he a good speaker, especially when it's off a teleprompter. If he wasn't he wouldn't be president right now. I just can't respect a man who will lie right to my face, especially when his lies may have a direct impact on my life and the future of this great country. What Im saying is no matter who is in office...if spending is an issue, the other side will talk about the kids and future generations...But if its "their guy" in office, that gets glossed over for them. Yeah, my Father in Law is a hardcore Republican. He is so far right, sometimes I am like: But even he stated this after the Bush Bank Bailout last fall: "You know, I've stuck up for Bush on most things, but I'm drawing the line here. I'm washing my hands of the guy. He is not a real conservative."
funngun 1 Posted February 25, 2009 Maybe Obama opened his mouth and said. "Wall Street may be more comforted by an approach that gives banks bailouts with no strings attached, and that holds nobody accountable for their reckless decisions," he said. But he added to cheers from the chamber that "this time, CEOs won't be able to use taxpayer money to pad their paycheques or buy fancy drapes or disappear on a private jet. Those days are over".
