I'm not into country at all and skipped through a lot of the performances....just cause I couldn't stand the music...but here's what I got from the 30-40 seconds of watching every person. 1. Danny Gokey - I agree with the judges. Danny slipped a little this week. But he is still a solid pick to win it all this season. The crowd freakin loves him. 2. Allison Iraheta - Blahblahblah 16, she's 16, blahblahblah. Yea. I know she is 16. But don't judge her for that. I don't care if she is 10 or 30, she has a great voice and she's been consistent ever since she's been in the top 36. 3. Adam Lambert - Turned a holy country song into a gay anthem. Anyone else started cracking up when he sang the "down, down, down" part? I hope this is a wake up call for the dude. He can't keep doing crap like this and expect to win this contest. 4. Matt Giraud - Starting to appreciate this guy. Great piano work, great singing. Not a chance to win this contest, but I think he can stick around for a while. 5. Kris Allen - Yawn. Boring song. But I guess the judges liked him. 6. Megan Corkrey - DAYUMMMM...great voice, but better looks. I hope she stays for a while. She is like a cool light breeze in a contest that only care about the size of the tornadoes. 7. Lil Rounds - Everyone knows that this isn't her style to go country here. I hope she makes it to next week because I would hate for her to leave on country week. Yuck. 8. Anoop Desai - Slumdog Idol does decent this week. Enough for him to stick around. Took it very safe, and it paid off this week. 9. Alexis Grace - Gave her a pass last week, but this is 2 straight weeks of below average performances. She is my pick to leave this wee 10. Scott MacIntyre - Yikes...is his whole routine getting a little tiring for anyone else? It's not like he's a great singer. I wouldn't mind if he gets kicked soon. 11. He sang My Perogative in the early rounds and the judges loved it so he keeps picking songs like that (i.e. Bad). But I think he needs to ditch that thought process as it is hurting him. Sho Nuff 720 Posted March 18, 2009 To me last night. 1. Matt...once again another solid performance. But will he too ever get out from behind the piano. Great voice and the guy can play. 2. Allison...I was not a big fan of hers last week...but this week she nailed it IMO. 3. Anoop...very solid vocally this week. 4. Adam...while the guy can belt out the big notes...I just hate hearing him and his screeching voice and his dumb face trying to look all cool mysterious and sexy. It sucks and just comes off as more over the top and gay. And that version butchered a great Cash song. Just because of his tough vocals he ranks up here for now. 5. Gokey...good but not as good as he has been. And those were the least stupid glasses that he has broke out so far. 6. Kris...this guy is kind of boring, but he can freaking sing. 7. Alexis...I thought she was good, but can see how she is starting to wear on some people and would not be shocked if she was gone soon. 8. Megan...the odd voice is beginning to annoy me...if not for her rack she would be even lower than this. 9. Scott...not the greatest vocalist but likable and generally hits the notes he is going for. 10. Little...nothing 'lil" about that girl's ass. Seemed like a Fantasia wannabe performance and sucked all around IMO. She is a one trick pony of hitting big notes...but I don't think she is as good as Fantasia was even. 11. Sarver...ugh...why even try that song. Probably the least talented of the whole crew anyway...but he has enough appeal he may stick around due to a story people like. Durtee 0 Posted March 19, 2009 I just watched the show from last night (DVR) and I gotta tell ya, Adam's performance was the creepiest thing that I have seen on this show. It looked like some sort of seance from a horror movie. Anyways I thought it was kind of a rough night. The better contestants were consistent and the others were just all right. Either Scott or Sarver will probably be the one to go. Which sucks because I think they are good singers & good contestants. Very difficult show to judge IMO.
