MTSkiBum 1,626 Posted March 24, 2009 Ben is not the most durable QB, he holds on to the ball to long, and the offensive line is the weak unit on the team. He is doomed.
jgcrawfish 232 Posted March 24, 2009 fock...they better sign leftwich now...
WhiteWonder 3,012 Posted March 24, 2009 I dont think they could have picked a player more likely to keep the curse alive. seriously Ben plays with a reckless style behind a questionable o-line and is known for scrambling around and holding onto the ball too long... He is tough but im sure will give the curse every opportunity to prove itself.
scherber830 0 Posted March 24, 2009 are they just trying to put players o the cover now who they think will get injured so their curse will live on? Roethlisberger isnt the most marketable player IMO, although he is now a two-time superbowl champ so maybe. Adrian Peterson would have been a good candidate too. throttlers 0 Posted March 24, 2009 When you buy the game, you should be given a ballot to vote on the next years cover. That way we could vote for guysl like Ocho-cinco or TO that we want to see get the curse.

pittnthat 0 Posted March 25, 2009 The new feature on this years game.....When Ben throws an int in the game, he will then grab his thumb like he is hurt. lol I wonder in real life if any qbs will mock his style and hold onto the ball longer. If you can get away with it then there is no way dbs can stay with wrs for that long. Couple of qbs might fit this profile(T.Jackson,J.Russell,A.Smith,) The line is average for the Steelers but when Ben holds the ball on purpose then it makes them look way worse. No line can block for 10 seconds per pass play.
scherber830 0 Posted March 25, 2009 I thought Favre broke that jinx last year? led the NFL is interceptions and single handedly choked the Jets out of the playoffs down the stretch. Also, where does it say Big Ben is the cover boy for 2010? I cant find it anywhere.

WhiteWonder 3,012 Posted March 25, 2009 well with Favre, that is the funny thinkg about the curse.. people will make whatever case they can to prove the curse still existed. in Favres case he was announced the cover before he was traded to the Jets, then everything was looking good until he played like crap, threw all those int's, blew the Jets postseason while supposedly playing with an injured shoulder... and then called it quits after the year. i guess the curse was him wasting an entire year for a new franchise and tarnishing his packer legacy to some degree. Borat33 17 Posted March 25, 2009 Link? I have not seen anything stating Ben is on the cover. I pray he is not. And Madden is getting boring, wish we could just spend $20 on rosters updates every year this game is just the same crap over and over again. But of course that will never happen. Madden suxs now, they have an exclusive rights deal with the NFL, there is no competition in the market against them. NFL 2K5 was a great game for $20, the last real game to go against Madden. EA Sports keeps rolling out the same crap every year. Ben better not be on the next cover, the jinx may or may not live, why chance it? Leftwich better be resigned if Ben is on the Madcrap cover. Larry David 20 Posted March 25, 2009 Some people will do anything to keep a curse alive. Brett Favre played all 16 games in 2008 and made the pro-bowl. Now that is a scary curse! He was able to dodge the curse for most of the year but he was playing with an injured shoulder down the stretch (even though he wasn't listed on any injury reports. Remind me again why that didn't violate league rules.) and he played the team out of the playoffs, presumably because of the bad shouler. He was selected to the Pro Bowl before the curse got its claws into him. I don't think it's a stretch to say the curse lives on. It doesn't have to be a season ending injury to qualify. This curse has been watered down every year until it is meaningless. I imagine if Ben does not win the SB this year the curse will live. Geez Favre played injured much of his career and has tailed off at the end of the year the last few seasons. Last year's performance was pretty much expected from the GB front office. Do you thik they traded him because he was on the cover on Madden?

He went from having a pro-bowl caliber season which generated a lot of Super Bowl talk in November only to crash and burn down the stretch, supposedly because of an injury. I don't think that's watering down the curse but we obviously disagree.

RaiderHaters Revenge 4,583 Posted March 27, 2009 That compensation pick in the end of round 5 was a f@cking joke... You mean to tell me that losing a Pro Bowl LG (Faneca) and a starting OLB (Haggans) and then signing a 3rd string RB (MeMo, who started a few games due to injuries) was only worth 1 5th rounder???? Tell the NFL to trade me a Ferrari for my Toyota Corolla, that should be fair according to their compensation values...... hey we lost a top 3 RB and signed noone and only got a 4 for Turner. Thats BS

gocolts 300 Posted March 31, 2009 http://www.sportingnews.com/blog/firstcuts...n_shot_unveiled So, the first look at Madden NFL 10 hit the web today via Peter Moore's blog, and I've got to say ... well, I mean I can't really tell you anything from this. Oh, except look who it is! It's Big Ben, the official FirstCuts frontrunner for the cover spot. (People, this is a stone-cold lock.)
pittnthat 0 Posted March 31, 2009 Let's talk about possible features this year(such as Ben acts like he is hurt on int's) Madden will call every QB Favre when they drop back to pass The T.O. feature will have him yelling at Edwards on bad passes Emmit Smith will give his insight like...He good at running

Maybe they can have a McNabb move where he blows chunks late in a big game? Perhaps a Plaxico mishap feature where he shoots himself in the thigh on the sidelines during halftime "Donte Stallworth's Dodge the Pedestrian at 5:00 a.m." driving contest??? The "Vernon Gholston inflate your combine numbers to fluff up your draft stock" training drills? Or for managing your team, perhaps a Josh McDaniels vs Jay Cutler hair pulling slap fight???
